WHAT'S UP AT WMS?
LIBRARY PARTNERSHIP
If you've driven by the Watertown Free Public Library, you may have noticed their front lawn covered in Freedom Signs. Created by our WHS and WMS students, the signs represent the opinion of our students and act as a visual representation of what is important to them.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
OPEN HOUSE!
This coming Monday, October 28th, is the WHS Open House! This event is a chance for families to see all the great things that happen at Watertown High School. The night is especially important for those considering other schools for their student in the fall. We have an evening of tours, information, and Q&A.
Please note: the event will begin in the WMS auditorium for a short presentation.
WMS GYM
Beginning Monday, the middle school gym will be open from 7:00 -7:45 am, Monday through Friday, for students who would like to start the day with some exercise followed by breakfast in the cafe. This is a great way to be sure students are on time, fed, and energized for the day.
WINTER IS COMING
Reminder! We have outdoor recess everyday (dependent on weather, of course) and students need to come to school dressed appropriately for the weather.
COFFEE WITH THE PRINCIPAL
WMS DIVERSITY AND BELONGING COUNCIL
Join us next Tuesday, October 29th, for our Diversity and Belonging Council (DBC) meet & greet! Please RSVP here!
TIME TO DANCE!
Get excited for our school dance on November 1st, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $5 (cash only please) and can be purchased in the main office. Students have received permission slips in their Advisory classrooms.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
We hope you and our students are ready to read! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held all of next week in the library, October 28th to November 1st. This year, Scholastic has rolled out a new "Share the Fair" e-wallet that parents can donate money to. This money will be used to purchase books for kids that can't otherwise afford books for themselves. All students will be able to have a chance to visit the fair during the school day.
