As I write this, my heart is full—and a little broken too. After nine incredible years of pouring my heart into Butterfly School, this will be my final newsletter. Stepping away from a place that has meant so much to me is not easy. I have loved our children, our families, our staff—every giggle in the hallway, every art project hung with pride, every prayer spoken over little hearts. This school is woven into the fabric of who I am. But I know it’s time. I trust that God is holding Butterfly School close, and I leave knowing it’s in loving, capable hands. The school will continue to flourish and bless families just as it always has. Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives, it has truly been the honor of mine.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK is May 6-9!

National Teacher Appreciation Week begins Monday, May 6th.

Our specials teachers are also truly amazing, they are one of the many unique difference makers that distinguishes RBS apart from other schools. Chapel, music, art, library, & science bring so much to our program.

We especially want to remember Ms Mary, who is our wonderful RBS Kitchen Manager! She always helps out wherever she can, she prepares and delivers our snacks every day for all the classes, and sets up and takes down the kitchen for the toddlers and twos.

An email regarding the plan for teacher appreciation week was sent out on Tuesday, April 15. It details how we will recognize our wonderful teachers and aides.

Our Threes and PreK had a delightful morning celebrating mom and dad during Pastries with Parents. Our students spent some sweet time sharing their creations with mom and dad along with some yummy treats!

A gentle playground reminder-
For the safety of our little ones, please enjoy any snacks or drinks at the picnic tables before heading to the toddler playground. We appreciate your help in keeping this area just for play. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!

We’d like to give a big shout out to the Coppell Jimmy John’s on Denton Tap for blessing our Butterfly School staff with a delicious lunch! At a time when so many restaurants are facing challenges or closing their doors, this generous gesture means even more. We are truly grateful for their kindness and continued support of our school. Let’s remember to support the local businesses that go out of their way to support others! See you at Jimmy Johns in Coppell!

We are finishing up our fabulous year with a lesson about the Fruits of the Spirit: kindness, love, joy, peace, patience ,and goodness. Every Bible Story has touched on one or more of these fruits and your children will continue to grow in God’s love by demonstrating fruits of the spirit. Teaching your children has been such a blessing. Our bible verse this month is “Always do good” Galatians 6:10. Have a fruitful summer! Love, Ms. Chris

I can’t believe we are in our final weeks of school! In May we will spend our final days working on our songs for our end of the year performance! Your kiddos have been working really hard and are excited to show off for you!

I hope your little artist enjoyed art class this year! I loved seeing their talent and passion for art grow. We had a wonderful time learning about Pablo Picasso, and this month we’ll conclude with a new artist, Claude Monet. Have a great summer!

Science this month will be all about having fun and enjoying our last two classes together. We’ll be learning about the science of popcorn, then for our last Friday we’ll be eating popcorn (Not the same popcorn!) while we watch Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. These kids have made science so much fun and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each and every student. I hope they'll always have a love of science. Have a fabulous summer!
