We are so proud of all of our students this year. Our students continue to demonstrate academic and social emotional growth. Their perseverance these last few years has been quite inspiring.

We are also so grateful for our wonderful Indian Prairie families and community. Your support these past few years has been noticed and appreciated. It is comforting to know that we are working together as a team to support all of the students at Indian Prairie.

We hope that all of you will enjoy the wonderful summer weather and enjoy some quality time enjoying all of the wonderful things that summer has to offer. Make sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.

The office will close on Friday, May 31st, and will reopen the first week of August. We look forward to seeing you next school year. For those of you who will be moving on to another school or district, we wish you a wonderful new adventure.

Last Day of School

May 23 is the last day of school for our kindergarten students and is a full day of school with the normal 3:30 p.m. dismissal. Our 1st-5th graders will be done on May 24 and students will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. that day.

Our staggered bells will ring at the following times on May 24:

1st bell at 10:21 am

2nd bell at -10:24 am

3rd bell at-10:27 am

Open bell at-10:30 am

Incoming kindergarten and PreK students are invited to “meet the bus” at the annual transportation open house. The event will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9am-1pm at the TJA bus garage, 1204 S. McHenry Avenue in Crystal Lake. Visit the D47 website for details. Flyer

The Crystal Lake Police Department needs your child's help with designing the 2024 National Night Out T-shirt! They are calling on Crystal Lake 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to submit their National Night Out t-shirt design by June 28th to Officer Stolzman at kstolzman@crystallake.org. The winning artwork will be featured on the official NNO t-shirt and handed out during the event. Learn more about National Night Out here: https://natw.org/.

Fun Day is Wednesday, May 22nd!

Each year we ask that students wear a particular color based on their grade level. It adds to the excitement, and helps us keep track of the groups of kids as they are spread all over the school grounds. Colors are assigned by grade level.

1st- Black

2nd-Red

3rd- White

4th-Black

5th-Red

All Cross Cat classes wear RED

School will soon be over for the 2023-2024 year. Please make arrangements to pick up any medications and supplies that may be in the health office prior to 10:30 am, on May 24th, 2024. Any medication or supplies that are left in the health office after that time will be discarded. Please call if I can be of any assistance. You may find new medication authorization forms for 2024-2025 on the District website.
