Zoom Meet & Greet with Golden Brooks sponsored by NHS & IMHS
Golden Brooks (born December 1, 1970) is an American actress. She began her career with starring role in the Showtime comedy series, Linc's (1998–2000), and later appeared in the films Timecode (2000) and Impostor (2001).
From 2000 to 2008, Brooks starred as Maya Wilkes in the UPN/The CW comedy series Girlfriends, for which she received two NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nominations. She also has appeared in films Motives (2004), Beauty Shop (2005), Something New (2006) and The Darkest Minds (2018). In 2019, she received critical acclaim for her performance in the TNT limited drama series I Am the Night.
Celebrating Fourth Of July With The King College Prep High School Band
One local College Prep school is nurturing students' passions through an exceptional visual and performing arts program. The marching band has performed at events and parades across the country including Mardis Gras and the Obama Inauguration. But despite their national recognition the band is still anchored in its Chicago roots. And today they're celebrating the fourth of July holiday with us! Frankie Beverly, the Maze singer who inspired generations of fans with lasting anthems, dies at 77

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Frankie Beverly, who with his band Maze inspired generations of fans with his smooth, soulful voice and lasting anthems including “Before I Let Go,” has died. He was 77.
His family said in a post on the band's website and social media accounts that Beverly died Tuesday. In the post, which asked for privacy, the family said “he lived his life with a pure soul, as one would say, and for us, no one did it better.”- Stengle reported from Dallas.
