AUDITION INFORMATION
In order to participate, you must be able to attend after-school rehearsals from 4:00-6:00 pm and both performances. Not all dance numbers will rehearse each week. A detailed schedule will be provided after audition results are released. If your student misses more than one rehearsal, your student may be pulled from the number. If your student misses one of the mandatory rehearsals they will not be able to participate in the play.
Thursday, Oct. 24th - Table Read (mandatory for 3-5 with speaking parts only)
Friday, Nov. 1 - Rehearsals
Friday, Nov. 8th - Rehearsals
Friday, Nov. 15th - Rehearsals
Friday, Nov. 22nd - Rehearsals
Friday, Dec. 6th - Rehearsals
Wednesday, Dec. 11th - Full run-through (mandatory)
Wednesday, Dec. 18th - Dress Rehearsal (mandatory)
There will be two performances on Thursday, Dec 19th. One during the day for our Trailblazer students and the second performance for families at 7:00 pm in the Launch Pad at T.H.E.
How to audition and be a part of T.H.E.’s The Grinch
Complete the online Google interest form listed below according to your student's grade. Forms are due by Friday, October 11th. Make sure you follow the directions carefully.
Kindergarten-2nd grade interest form
Audition times will be sent home Monday, October 14th
Auditions for 1st-5th grade will take place on Thursday, October 17th. It is mandatory to attend auditions to receive a part in the play.
Kindergarten students will not have auditions as they will only be in the opening kindergarten number.
1st and 2nd grade students will be given an audition time between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday, Oct. 17th. Students will need to learn part of a dance number that will be posted online and perform it for the judges.
3rd-5th grade students will be given an audition time between 5pm and 6pm on Thursday, Oct. 17th. Students will need to learn part of a dance number that will be posted online and perform it for the judges. Students who want a small speaking part will be asked to read some of the lines from the script. We will have copies of the script available at auditions but students are encouraged to read through the script before auditions.
4th-5th grade students interested in auditioning for a vocal solo, The Grinch, or Max will be given an audition time of 6pm-7pm on Thursday, Oct. 17th. Students will need to learn part of a dance number that will be posted online and perform it for the judges. Students will then be pulled in individually to audition for a vocal solo or in small groups to read for The Grinch and Max.
