Early Childhood Updates
2024-2025
It was so fantastic to see so many families at our Annual Halloween Bash last week. There were a total of 510 people who came through the doors. It was a fun evening of connecting with families outside of the school day! There are more opportunities for family events throughout the school year, we hope you can join us!
It's been a wonderful fall with many opportunities to be outside, but we were quickly reminded today that it can change in a heartbeat! As we move into colder weather, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, please make sure to send appropriate clothing to play outside. If your child is in need of any winter gear, please reach out to us by filling out our confidential assistance form. Secondly, since preschool drop off and pick up is held outside, we encourage you to wait in your vehicle until you see teachers come outside or wait to arrive at school until drop off time when it is too cold. Please see more information on bad weather drop off and pick up below. Third, when the weather turns severe, you will want to go to Seesaw and our School Closings and Alerts page for the most up to date information.
As always, please reach out with any questions, concerns or needs.

Kim Goodmanson

Bluejackets Start Here!
We love our volunteers!
Thank you to all of our volunteers that have helped make playdough, donated items to the parent-teacher conference potluck, worked on at-home projects, chaperoned field trips and MUCH more!
We love volunteers! They are vital to the success of our schools. Stay informed, build connections, and join the fun! To get started, you will need to complete the volunteer application and pass a background check. If you have questions about volunteering in our schools please contact our volunteer coordinator, Amy Huntley at ahuntley@c-ischools.org.
Picture Days
Picture Day is coming on November 4th & 5th (Cambridge) and November 6th & 7th (Isanti)! Lifetouch School Photography, known for capturing school pictures from PreK-12 nationwide, will take our school photos this year. For more information about Picture Day, visit: https://schools.lifetouch.com/for-your-families/
Bad Weather Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Gathering outside and visiting with other families is great when the weather is beautiful! When it isn't, we want to make sure that you have other options for school drop off and pick up. Families can park in the parking lot, or pull up along the curb, pulling up closer to the door as you are able. Note: Please don't stop along the curb more than 10 minutes before the start or end of preschool so that traffic from the upper grades can move through. It takes several minutes to get students inside the building so you have time to walk to the door after you see teachers come out.

In-House Screenings
In-house early childhood screenings will start happening the week of 10/14 at both sites and continue through December. We will make every effort to screen current C-I Preschool students while they are at school. Families with children who have not been screened yet will receive paperwork in their email that needs to be completed in order for the screening to take place. If you have questions or do not want your child screened while they are at school please contact our office at 763-691-6691. Thank you!
Attendance Line
Preschool and ECFE families should call our attendance line at 763-691-6693 (this is for BOTH sites) to report an absence. Please do not call Isanti Primary School or Cambridge Intermediate school unless are reporting an absence in that building as well. Thank you!
Birthday Celebrations in Preschool
If you choose to send something with your child, please send something that can be sent home in backpacks at the end of the school day (ex-stickers, individually wrapped snack). We ask that you do not send any cupcakes as we wonβt be able to serve them during the school day.
