📝 NEW TRIMESTER, NEW SUPPLIES
Welcome to Trimester 2! Students should check their schedules online as some periods may have changed. Also, please take a moment to check school supplies. At this time of the year, it's good to stock up on pencils, glue sticks, etc. Seventh grade Science students will need new composition books. Thank you!
🏅 CONGRATS SPELLING TEAM!
The Rattlers took part in the 2024 NCSOS Spelling Competition, a three-round team tourney, as well as an individual on-stage session held in Nevada City. Among individual competition honors: 6th grader Isabelle Stevens won the 3rd place ribbon; 7th grader Casey Reed took 4th place; 8th grader Dalton Allen took 3rd place. The 7/8th Grade Team tied for 3rd place, then placed 4th after a tie-breaker. Thanks to Coach Lavelle and congrats to all of our amazing spellers!
🎨 ART CONTEST WINNERS
The Lions Club announced the local winners of the 2024 International Peace Poster Contest. First place and a $75 cash prize goes to 7th grader Liam Meenan! Liam's poster will go on to the next round of regional competitions. Second place was shared by 7th graders Hannah Byers and Thomas Russell. Congrats to all our fantastic Magnolia artists who submitted work!

The California Health Kids Survey is an opportunity to share your perceptions about our school. This voluntary survey provides data that guides district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance interventions, and improve achievement. The survey is anonymous; any question can be skipped. Students interested in playing competitive basketball are invited to tryout for the AAU Boys Basketball program. Sixth grade Bruin United AAU basketball tryouts will be Tuesday & Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. in the big gym.
