School Board Highlights
March 18, 2025
Celebrating Success
The Daniel Wright Guided Team shared its inclusive practices with the Board, illustrating how the school is a welcoming and supportive environment for students. Through intentional collaboration, innovative instructional strategies, and a commitment to meeting diverse learning needs, the staff continuously fosters an atmosphere where the students feel valued and empowered to succeed. The team shared the impactful ways in which inclusivity has been embedded in the classrooms and school.
Staffing Plan
The Board tabled the 2025-2026 staffing plan to a later meeting. The staffing plan includes administrative, certified, and classified employees.
Student Involvement on School Board
Two students submitted applications for the Student Representative to the Board of Education position on the same day Dr. Katie Reynolds, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, emailed the opportunity to seventh-grade students earlier this month. The deadline to submit an application is Tuesday, April 8, at 3:30 p.m.
Selected student representatives will begin their service on the Board in fall 2025. In this advisory role, students will provide input and represent their peers' perspectives on various topics discussed by the Board.
Interviews with applicants will take place in April, with the selected students announced at a Board of Education meeting in May.

The next Board of Education meeting will occur at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8. The notice and agenda can be found on the District 103 Board meeting website page.
