Parent Teacher Conference Days March 11th - 15th
Dublin High School is hosting Parent Teacher Conference Days this week. Teachers are calling parents and guardians to schedule conferences throughout the week. If you have not received a call from your child's teachers, please call them to schedule a conference.
Providing Families With The Power Of Choice
Early Bird Enrollment may have come and gone, but Dublin City Schools is currently in the midst of our traditional IN-PERSON enrollment. Central Registration is located at 1405 West Moore Street. And, don’t worry; we’ve heard your requests & still have plenty of yard signs.
In addition to our in-person option, online registration will be available at dcsirish.com beginning Monday, March 18th.
Providing families with #ThePowerOfChoice, we offer an all-day gifted program, themed elementary schools, high school course credits at the middle school, the only International Baccalaureate program between Macon and Savannah, dual enrollment opportunities, and a school-within-a-school College and Career Academy committed to preparing today’s students for their tomorrow. Recognizing that top districts have top leaders, we’re also proud to have Dr. Fred Williams, Georgia’s 2024 Superintendent of the Year and a finalist for National Superintendent of the Year, as our Lead Learner!
Come discover how your family can be part of our world-class charter school system!
Dublin City Schools' Campus Tour Day
We get it! Dublin City Schools has LOTS of fantastic options. So, if you’re trying to decide which school will most spark your child’s unique passion for learning, join us Thursday, March 14th. From 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, each campus (minus Dublin Middle School) will be hosting tours for prospective students and their families. Because of the Pancake Supper, DMS invites you to join them from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM before coming back for that evening's St. Patrick's Festivities!
This will be your chance to see each campus in action during our Open Enrollment Window. Pre-registration is NOT required. And, we’re happy to report that we’ll be carrying out our normal safety procedures for guests. We can’t wait to see you soon!
Dublin High School and Middle Georgia State University Dual Enrollment
Students at Dublin High School will be able to begin their Cybersecurity degree pursuits within the walls of DHS next fall, as Middle Georgia State University President, Dr. Christopher Blake, and DHS Principal, Dr. Michael Overstreet, signed an MOU to begin the Dual Enrollment partnership beginning in August.
“We’re always looking for ways to reach K-12 and provide support,” said Blake, prior to signing the MOU in The WAY College and Career Academy’s Mechatronics lab Tuesday.
Dublin High School will become only the second high school to offer the Cybersecurity Dual Enrollment opportunity on its campus, a distinction CTAE Director and The WAY CEO Ben Lanier said will prove invaluable in recruiting students to the program.
“One of the major hurdles our students face is transportation,” Lanier said, “and this will eliminate that hurdle…I get asked about cybersecurity offerings multiple times every week, so we will have no issues filling these classes.”
The Cybersecurity Certificate program is designed to put students on the fast track towards their AS or BS in Information Technology at MGSU, pursue certifications like Security+, PenTest+ and CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), with future careers ranging in salary of up to $140,000.
Dr. Blake was accompanied by several cabinet members, including Provost Dr. David Jenks, for the signing.
“I couldn’t be prouder,” Overstreet said. “We are always looking for innovative ways to close the gap between our students and their future college or career endeavors, and this partnership will offer multiple pathways for students to realize their high achievement and success.”
The WAY also partners with MGSU in the field of education, offering a Teaching as a Pathway Dual Enrollment option that includes a paid student internship, and in nursing, with students able to begin work towards their Associate of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
