Superintendent's Update
Greetings EHT School Community,
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2025!
I hope that you are ready to embrace all the opportunities a new year brings. As we step into the second half of our school year, I want to thank you for your support of our school district. We are here to serve you and your child with #EHTPride.
Our Character Word of the Month for January is Motivation. This word serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of setting goals, maintaining a positive mindset, and inspiring ourselves and others. Motivation fuels success: parental support of their children, along with educator encouragement is a recipe for improved student achievement. Let’s work together to set a tone of encouragement and motivation.
Please be sure to check your child's school website for upcoming school and district events. Winter sports are well on their way at the middle and high school levels.
Here’s to a fantastic start to the new year! Go Eagles!
With #EHTPride,
Dr. Gruccio

District Mission and Goals
Mission Statement- Embrace - Engage - Educate
Our mission in the Egg Harbor Township School District is to embrace families and their
students to provide a safe, rigorous, and relevant learning experience while students are engaged and educated to become responsible for their own learning.
Student Achievement
In order to prepare students for the future that awaits them, teaching practices will incorporate new technologies and innovation to support student learning to prepare students for the future that awaits them. Professional Learning Community work will encompass the Teaching and Assessing Cycle. This data will assist in meeting individual student needs using the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. We will also focus on the social and emotional needs of every student to foster successful learning experiences.
Culture, Climate and EHT Pride
S.O.A.R. (SAFETY, OWNERSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPECT) will be used as the foundation to ensure a safe learning environment for all. SOAR provides students with self-regulation skills, life skills, and character skills that will assist them with student achievement, work ethic, good character, and a respect for diversity. We will celebrate progress through recognition and reward to reinforce student expectations for a positive school climate, culture, and #EHTPride.
Expand Stakeholder Partnerships
Continue to form positive, supportive, and sustained partnerships with community partners to complement and enhance student learning, activities, and athletics at all grade levels. The effectiveness of these partnerships will depend on the quality of collaboration, the alignment of goals, and the level of commitment from all involved parties. These stakeholders include students, parents, teachers, support staff, school administrators, the Board of Education, community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.
