Parent Teacher Conferences
Dear Parents & Guardians,
We are pleased to announce that Parent Teacher Conference times are now available on Genesis. You can book a Parent/Teacher Conference with your child's Homeroom teacher directly through the Parent Portal.
Please note that the Parent Portal is used to book conferences with Homeroom teachers only. If you wish to meet with a teacher other than your child's Homeroom teacher, please send them an email. If multiple teachers are requesting a conference with you, they will reach out to schedule a team conference.
Conference Dates & Times:
- November 4th (5:00 - 7:00 PM)
- November 5th (3:00 - 5:00 PM)
- November 6th (1:00 - 3:00 PM)
Follow these simple directions to book your conference:
- Log in to the Genesis Parent Portal and select the Conference tab on the left side of the screen.
- If you have more than one student in the District, book conferences for each child individually using the "Select Student" drop-down box.
- Choose the date you wish to schedule your conference, select a time slot, and click Reserve.
- Click OK to confirm your reservation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to meeting with you soon!
Sincerely,
April Wawryk
UES Principal
Welcome Officer Carlo!
We are excited to announce that Officer Carlo has joined our UES community as our new School Resource Officer (SRO). Officer Carlo comes to us with extensive experience in law enforcement and a strong passion for supporting students and educators in creating a safe and welcoming school environment.
As our SRO, Officer Carlo will collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to ensure that our school remains a secure place for learning and growth. His role will extend beyond safety, as he will also serve as a positive role model, building relationships with students and fostering a sense of trust and respect throughout our school.
Officer Carlo is dedicated to not only keeping our school safe, but also to promoting a positive school culture. He looks forward to participating in school events, getting to know our students, and working together with our community to address any concerns. You may see him around campus greeting students, offering guidance, and helping reinforce our shared commitment to safety.
We are grateful to have Officer Carlo as part of our team, and I know he is eager to meet you and your children in the coming weeks. Please feel free to introduce yourself when you see him around.

REMINDER FOR PARENTS/STUDENTS ๐ป
To ensure that all students are prepared for learning each day, we want to remind parents and guardians about the importance of students bringing their school-issued devices to class daily. If a student repeatedly forgets their device, they may be asked to leave it at school to ensure they have access to it during instructional time.
Please help us reinforce this responsibility at home so that students can make the most of their learning opportunities. Thank you for your support!

We encourage students to stay hydrated throughout the school day. Our school is equipped with water refill stations and fountains to support this. When supplying a water bottle for your student, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Size: Under 32 ounces
- Visibility: Clear material
- Safety: Must have a lid that seals securely
- Durability: Made of non-shatter material
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment!

COSTUME PARADE & ANNUAL STEM PUMPKIN DROP! ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐น
COSTUMES: no full masks, no fake weapons or large props. Students need to be able to sit in their costumes so no inflatable costumes. Must be school appropriate
PARADE: Our parade is short front door to the black top in the back... the kids instead have a Pumpkin Drop connecting it to STEM. We have some kids that won't dress up but this gives everyone an opportunity to participate through science.
REMINDER THERE IS AN EARLY DISMISSAL AT 11:45
On 10/31 we have a school STEM challenge creating a contraption to secure a pumpkin and prevent it from breaking! We need help with set up and clean up at UES on 10/31 at 10:00! Let me know if you can join in on the fun by completing this Google Form.
