Highlights of the Week
It was another exciting week at Donalda School! With Wednesday’s PD day, it felt like two mini-weeks packed into one. On Tuesday, we enjoyed our final hot lunch of the year organized by our dedicated Parent Council. A huge thank you to Dancey Reid for overseeing the program and to all the parents who contributed by providing lunches or helping with preparing and serving food. Your support is greatly appreciated! Looking ahead, we are excited to kick off our nutrition program on Wednesday in partnership with TC Catering and Kitchen Crumbs. Our junior high students will have the opportunity to take part in preparing lunches each week, adding a hands-on learning experience to their routine.
The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our ski day at Alliance Ski Hill! It was fantastic to see students—some for the very first time—gain confidence on the slopes. Watching beginners independently navigate the bunny hill, helping students conquer the t-bar, and seeing the pure joy of kids hitting jumps and bumps with friends made the day truly special. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible parents and staff who assisted on the bunny hill, in the rental shop, and with lunch—your efforts made the day a huge success! A day like today reminds me of the great community we have at Donalda School!
Parent Surveys
In the mail, parents of our grade 4-9 students, will be receiving a letter requesting that they go online to complete a survey from Alberta Education. I want to highly encourage parents to take the time to fill out the surveys as it helps me to plan for the upcoming school year. Students and staff will also be completing the survey, by adding parent voice it gives a full picture of how our school is doing and which areas to focus on for improvement.
Great Prairie Race - Challenge to be Active in February
During the month of February, we are challenging our students to be active with the Great Prairie Race. We will be having a kick off Monday morning, as this is a challenge with participanting schools across the prairie provinces. Here is a link to their website for more information. We encourage families to keep track of their physical activity at home as well.

Welcome Back Mrs. Broughton & Thank you to Mrs. Bourdeges
We are excited that Mrs. Broughton will be back on Monday to teach the grade 3/4 class. Mrs. Broughton is returning after maternity leave, and we are thrilled to have her back in the building. That means Mrs. Pelech will be moving in to the kindergarten room, and that we say farewell to Mrs. Bourdeges (AKA Mrs. B). I want to thank Mrs. B for doing such a great job with our kinder and play school students! Everyone at Donalda School wishes her the best!
