School Attendance Is The Key To Your Child's Success!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited that the new school year at Timber Trace is underway! As we settle into our new routines, I want to stress the importance of your child being in school on-time, every day. When they are present, they are able to fully engage in lessons, participate in class activities, and build essential connections with their classmates and teachers.
Missing just two days a month is considered chronically absent for students. And research shows chronically absent students have trouble learning to read by third grade, keeping up in middle school, and graduating from high school.
As we enter our school year, here are some helpful tips:
Make mornings easy with a family routine. Prepare clothes and backpacks the night before school;
Try not to make medical appointments during the school day. Schedule appointments before or after school to make sure students aren’t missing valuable instructional times; and
Minimize vacations and personal holidays when school is in session. See the school calendar below for easy reference to know when students are not in school.
We’re here to help! We understand that sometimes there are challenges, and we want to work with families. If you need assistance or have concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s work together to make sure your child is in school and ready to learn.
Go Tigers!

Carline Safety- Refrain From Cell Phone Use For Your Child's Safety!
It is imperative that drivers refrain from using your cell phone while in the carline. This is an extremely dangerous situation. We urge you to give all of your attention to the students and staff in the carline. Your child's safety depends on you!
Carline Safety!
We look forward to seeing all of our students in the carline during arrival and dismissal. Support your child in arriving safely in the morning by doing the following:
- Ensure your child is prepared with their backpacks and ready to exit the car quickly and safely.
- Pull all the way forward in the carline until all cars come to a stop.
- Avoid using your cell phones at all times for your child's safety.
- Prepare your child for exiting the car as you are in the carline prior to entering the loop. It's a great way to share positive wishes for a great day!
