The school-year is well on its way and before too long we will be enjoying crisp, cool mornings and falling leaves (hopefully). October is always a special month at Bennett Elementary School. We are busy getting ready for our annual Walk to School day on October 2nd, Fall PTO General Meeting on October 8th, the annual Halloween Boo Bash on October 18th, and Spirit Night at Jersey Mike's on October 22nd!!

For our Fall PTO General Meeting on Tuesday, October 8th at 6:00pm, we will have an in-person and online option this year. There will be several raffles for anyone in attendance online and in-person!

During August and September, our PTO goal was to get all our students' party money and family memberships completed for the year. If you haven't done one or both, you can still complete these here!

• The grade with the highest percentage of party money paid by end of September won a Hat Day and the teachers will receive custom engraved Stanley cups.
• KINDERGARTEN WINS!
• The grade with the highest percentage of memberships paid by the end of September won a PJ Day and the principals will cover lunch for the grade-level teachers for a day.
• 2ND GRADE WINS!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED SO FAR! THIS MONEY HELPS MAKE ALL OF OUR PTO EVENTS A SUCCESS!

We appreciate all our volunteers at Bennett Elementary! The Halloween dance is always a huge event and will take the joint efforts of parents and teachers to be a success! We will need lots of help to get the gym and cafeteria ready for the dance, work during the dance, and to help clean-up afterwards! McKinney Boyd is welcoming all Bennett Bears at the MISD Stadium on October 25! Students with Bennett shirts will get free admission and will be able to be on the field during pre-game!

Gates open at 6:00, game at 7:00.

Students must be accompanied by a parent. (Parent must purchase a ticket)

Do you enjoy being creative? Love to draw? All students are invited to enter their art in the yearbook cover contest. The winner's artwork will be displayed on the front cover of the yearbook. The grade level winners will also be featured in the yearbook. Turn in your artwork at the front office by November 15th!! Our theme this year is "Happy Camper".
