Saturday, June 1st marked the beginning of LGBTQ+ PRIDE MONTH across the nation and Vermont. The purpose of Pride Month is to celebrate and commemorate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride. At Peoples Academy our GSA (Gender Sexual Alliance) student led club is organizing face painting, sticker splashes, and more for students to show support. Being inclusive, welcoming and respectful are characteristics we work hard to encourage and inspire at Peoples Academy. The GSA is one example of a student group that helps to build empathy and understanding and bring positive energy to our school community. We celebrate these students for their efforts and leadership.
