A Note From The Principal
Greetings Parents & Scholars,
This Week. It was so much fun celebrating our Falcon of the Month this week. Each scholar was photographed and received his/her “Falcon of the Month” sign to display in their yard. For those that were not present, please stop by the campus and we will be happy to celebrate with you also. When you get a moment check out our pictures below. In addition to our celebration our teachers were also teaching, assessing and reteaching standards. We held a number of data driven discussions about the where our scholars are and what we are doing to get them where they need to be. Parents, we appreciate all of the support you have given us.
Looking Ahead! Parents we sent home our registration paperwork. Please fill them out and return them with your scholar on Monday. We will also have staff reaching out to you this week in the event you have not returned your papers. If you need assistance, we are here to help you with your registration paperwork. On Wednesday, March 10th we are having a Parent in Touch (PIT) day. Scholars will be eLearning and teachers will be meeting with parents via phone or Zoom to discuss your scholar. For our 8th grade scholars, a representative from JRP (James & Rosemary Phalen) Academy will be on campus Monday, March 8th to discuss your enrollment on their campus. They will also have some cool PLA gear to give to scholars. We look forward to their visit.
Kudos! A big thanks to our many scholars that are taking the social distancing measures seriously and for properly wearing your mask. Thank you teachers for helping and being a role model. Together we can make a big difference on how our campus is impacted. Parents we ask that you continue to help us make our campus safe. Last, but not least, a big shout out to our teachers for creating your enrollment and retention videos. We look forward to sharing your videos with our current and future parents.
What Can you do as a Parent! Please continue to encourage your scholar to be prepared and on time for class. Encourage them to read 20 minutes a day and to be actively engaged in class. We appreciate every effort as we work together in the development of your scholar.
Scholars First,
Dr. Sue Starr

In Person Protocols
Please make sure your scholar is brought to school and picked up on time. As a reminder, we begin arrivals at 7:45. Your scholar is considered tardy at 8:15. Dismissal begins at 3:00 and ends promptly at 3:30. Frequent tardiness or late pick ups may result in your scholar being shifted to our remote learning option.
Lastly, we wanted to provide a reminder on a few of our safety protocols. Please review the following letter to reaffirm your understanding of these expectations. Thank you for ensuring these protocols are followed. We need your support to ensure we are able to continue in person learning.
