Only 3 MORE weeks!

Good Morning SIS families,

With summer winding down, we wanted to make sure you know how excited we are to have your son or daughter join SIS on the 23rd! Our staff will be in the building soon getting things ready to go for that first day.

Please help me welcome our new SIS secretary Jamie Cummings. Natalie Johnson, who was planning on filling that role, has moved into a new full time role at Central Office here in Solon. We are happy for her new adventure, but will miss her smiling face! Jamie will be joining us from the Iowa City Community School District. She and her husband have two sons in the SCSD.

Welcome Night! August 20th, 2018

The SIS welcome night will get you all of the needed information for that first day of school. (drop off, pick up, before and after school, etc). If you have any questions prior, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Dates to ADD to your calendar

We all know how calendars can get filled, so please add the following dates to your back to school calendar!

8.17.18 Fall Activities Kickoff at Spartan Stadium starting at 5:30- Bring the whole family to Spartan Stadium for a night filled with fun!

8.20.18 Solon Intermediate Welcome Night: More info to come on this!

4th grade families at 5:00 in the gym

5th grade families at 5:30 in the gym

8.23.18 FIRST day of School - 8:00 o'clock start and 1:45 dismissal

8.24.18 SECOND day of School- 8:00 o'clock start and 2:55 dismissal

8.28.18 NEW to Solon information session (Any new families in the district with kids in PK-5 are more than welcome to attend).

Weekly Schedule

Once we get into the groove, the below schedule will be what our 4th and 5th grades will experience on a daily basis. If this is confusing, let us know. Will start everyday at 8:00 sharp! The Thursday schedule will be similar without SPARTAN time and shortened blocks throughout the day.
