Every spring, hundreds of our 7th and 8th grade students are inducted into the Deal chapter of NJHS and it is amazing to see how hard they work and the great impact that their service has on our community. In order to participate, students must successfully complete each of the action steps noted below by all due dates.

Science with Ms Baker - (she/her) - Room RG02 - Email: christine.baker@k12.dc.gov
This week students designed and built a model "bone" to see if they could make it both light and strong. We currently have a tie for the best design. The tiebreaker will be during advisory today with brand new types of materials. We also began our study of the nervous system. Students read an excerpt from a NYT article published two weeks ago that detailed all of the new cells discovered in the brain.
Students may clean out their folders of anything from cells on white paper. They should keep all yellow notes sheets for the whole year.
