Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly
Coupeville High School students were treated to an unforgettable Martin Luther King Jr. Day Assembly on Friday when Jahleel Vester made a dynamic entrance on roller skates - capturing attention and setting the tone for an inspiring presentation. Jahleel connected deeply with our students while delivering a powerful message about Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy as a civil rights leader. His unique presentation style and genuine enthusiasm had students fully engaged throughout the assembly. The impact of his words was evident in the excitement and inspiration that rippled through our student body, demonstrating how our alumni continue to contribute to our school community in meaningful ways

We want to be clear: our district welcomes and values students of all backgrounds, races, and identities. This diversity strengthens our school community and enriches the educational experience for all. We continue to actively work to enhance our programs that promote understanding, respect, and appreciation of our differences.
Our commitment includes:
- Ongoing staff training in cultural competency and inclusive practices
- Enhanced student support services and counseling resources
- Strengthened harassment, intimidation, and bullying prevention programs
- Regular review and updates of our safety protocols
- Continued community engagement and dialogue
Please know that we are taking concrete steps to ensure all students feel secure and supported in our schools. Our principals and staff are available to address any concerns you may have about your child's wellbeing or educational experience.
Education is most effective when schools and families work together. We invite your continued engagement and feedback as we work to strengthen our school community. Your trust in us is something we take seriously and work to earn every day.
Together, we will continue to build a school district where every student can thrive, learn, and grow in a supportive environment.
