Time Flies
Wow! We are at the end of the first nine weeks already! I can't believe that 1/4 of our school year is over. What's that saying? "Blink and you will miss it." The older I get the more this becomes true. Just yesterday I was walking into JMS for the very first time.
To say that I have been blessed is understatement. Thank you for joining me on this journey at Jarrell Middle School. Thank you for being patient as we continue to make minor changes on our campus to help our students be more successful. Our teachers are working very hard and have accepted every challenge with a smile.
As we start the new nine weeks I want to encourage you to stay in contact with your students' teachers, make sure you have their tutoring schedules and please let us know if we can help.

Saturday School
This week we will have our first Saturday School of the year. If your student is needing to make up some hours due to absences this is the perfect time for them to do so. It will begin promptly at 8:00 and dismiss at 12:00. If your student is invited to attend Saturday School you will receive a phone call this week. We plan on holding Saturday school two Saturday's a month right now. This could change as needed.
Picture Retakes and Yearbooks
We will have picture retakes on Wednesday. If students were not able to get their pictures made earlier this year they will have the opportunity to do so on Wednesday.
Don't forget to order your 2024-2025 yearbook! They are on sale now. You can purchase them by scanning the QR code attached in the flyer. Yearbooks are $35 and must be ordered by November 22nd.
A Note from Your Principal
In just a few short weeks we will be breaking for Thanksgiving! I've said this before, but I absolutely love this time of year. Fall is in the air, warmer clothes come out, and sitting around the fire becomes a great way to spend the evening. My favorite past time is sitting on the patio in early morning hours with a cup of coffee and a good book and my grands playing in the yard. Those moments are priceless.
We have so much to be thankful for and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all of you. Thank you for sharing your students with us each day. Our teachers work tirelessly to ensure they are receiving the best education possible. As we continue to work together I just wanted to let you know that we appreciate the partnership we are developing in your child's education.
