Happy November Roadrunner families. This weekend we will experience a time change as we fall back and start experiencing some earlier evening sunsets and some brighter morning drop offs. Make sure you adjust those clocks this weekend.

November also brings our celebration of veterans, acknowledgement of diabetes awareness day, some interim testing, bike rodeo, a read to the Final Four tournament for 3rd grade and a NCAA Fan Jam experience for all! Please see information for all of these things below. Especially check out the precheck for Veterans Day on 11/11/24 at 8:30am if you plan to attend, the NCAA Fan Jam participation permission form (every child needs this) & the Bike Rodeo RSVP if your child plans to participate. THANK YOU for helping us with these things.

This week we had a great time, dressing like movie stars, sporting our tie dye, wearing red, dressing as book characters and seeing the crazy socks! Most importantly we are thankful for the opportunity to talk about being healthy, being kind and making good choices for ourselves. Thank you to all who participated. Each year we open up grant applications for our staff to apply for. We received $18k in grant requests this year, and were able to fulfill over $16k of the requests. We had fun going around to our staff members notifying them of the grants they are receiving! Grants awarded include everything from an Author's visit for our whole school, Stem Kits for 1st Grade, Ukulele Cart for music, Science Carts to be used throughout the school, educational programs used school wide, and even owl pellets for the 4th grade to dissect! "Veteran's Day Program"

By completing the linked form, you allow us to use the information to conduct a security verification through our visitor management portal, Raptor. Once cleared, we will preprint your visitor label, which you will collect at the pre-check-in station on the day of the event. We have the exciting opportunity to have the NCAA Fan Jam here on campus on November 20, 2024.

Fan Jam is a mobile pop-up event in a truck. Whether you're a basketball enthusiast or a rookie, Fan Jam is your opportunity to hone your shooting skills, snap selfies with the Championship Trophy, snag giveaways, and more.

The Fan Jam is an excellent way for fans of all ages to gear up for the excitement and exhilaration of college basketball. Some of the FAN JAM events will include special guest apperances.

Our Fan Jam event will take place duirng the studnets specials time. All students will need to have parent permission on file to participate. .The link for the permission form is below as well as a volunteer opportunity for the Fan Jam event date! It should be great fun!

On Friday, November 22nd our students will have the opportunity to participate in the 2024-2025 Bike Rodeo. This event will take place during regular CAMP times on our black top area playground area. We would love to have volunteers to help us run the event. Please see the links below to sign your student up to participate and for an opportunity to volunteer!

I am excited to announce that the referral window for the Gifted and Talented program will be open from November 15th to December 17th. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to nominate your child for consideration in our Gifted and Talented program, which is designed to provide advanced educational opportunities for students who demonstrate exceptional abilities.

If you believe your child would benefit from this program, please take the time to submit a referral during this window. Additional information about the process, including the referral link, can be found on the district’s Advanced Academics website linked here.
