Message from Principal Terri Jackson
Dear Woodland Families,
As we embrace the vibrant spirit of May, we find ourselves amidst the flurry of activities and events that make this season so special at Woodland. From the successful Spring Carnival to the culmination of MCA tests, 4th grade recorder concert to the new Kindergarten orientation, our school is buzzing with energy and enthusiasm.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our wonderful PTO and everyone who participated in and contributed to the success of our Spring Carnival. Your support and enthusiasm made it a truly memorable event for our entire community.
As we approach the end of the academic year, MCA tests are drawing to a close, marking the beginning of the final stretch of this school year. Despite the busy schedule, our focus remains steadfast on fostering the holistic development of your children—socially, emotionally, and academically.
While the weather may not be warming up as swiftly as we'd like, the signs of spring are unmistakable. As nature blooms and the days grow longer, we're reminded of the beauty and renewal that this season brings.
As we venture further into May, our calendar is brimming with exciting events and celebrations. Field trips, choir concerts, 5th-grade Commencement, Field Day, and more await our eager students. Keep an eye out for flyers detailing our upcoming All School BBQ—a fantastic opportunity for our Woodland family to come together and celebrate.
As we navigate the final weeks of the school year, our commitment to your children's growth and success remains unwavering. Together, let's end this year on a positive note, embracing every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Here's to a memorable and fulfilling month ahead!
Your principal,
Terri Jackson

PTO News
From your PTO:
As the school year winds down the PTO wants to send a thank you to all of our Woodland families for attending events, volunteering, and donating to our fundraisers. It is with your help that we can continue to help bridge the gap between what the school receives and what are students and staff really need.
Staff Appreciation
Staff Appreciation is taking place May 7-10. Take this time to write a note, draw a picture or send a treat to the amazing staff and teachers at Woodland. The PTO will be providing meals and treats throughout the week. The PTO has also created a Kudo Board to show your appreciation. This will be shared with the staff to read at the end of the week: www.kudoboard.com/boards/4g5oXL09.
Family Dance and Food Truck Night
Wed, May 22nd! This is our last family event for the year. Come listen to DJ Drew and enjoy food from Brick Oven Pizza Bus, Tacos Los Carnales, Kumain, and Shaved Ice Truck.
The PTO NEEDS YOUR HELP
The PTO Board has many openings for the 2024-2025 school year. We would love to have you join us. This is a great way to stay active at Woodland and help provide for the community. We meet 1x per month in the media center to talk about fundraising, upcoming events and how we can support Woodland students and our staff.
