Room Transformation in 2nd Grade!
Our 2nd graders had their first room transformation this year! Construction Measurement Day was a hit! Students worked through five different measurement stations.
Haunted Arrays!
Our 3rd grade students created Haunted House arrays together! They were able to display their understanding of a new multiplication strategy in a creative way.
CANVAS
All students, grades Young 5s-12 use Canvas, a learning management system. Classroom teachers use Canvas to provide instruction, resources, activities, and assessments for students, as well as parent communication.
Parents are encouraged to set up a parent/observer account to stay abreast of student learning. Canvas will allow parents to:
- Contact their child’s teacher
- View grades, due dates, and events
- See, and in many cases access, what the child is doing at school
- Support an absent student
- View classroom and building announcements
Downloadable directions are linked below. In addition, helpful videos and walk-throughs may be found linked HERE.
If you have any trouble at all, please reach out to Ike's Media Clerk, Paul Sleziak at paul.sleziak@fraserk12.org or Kim Keith at kimberly.keith@fraserk12.org..

The community meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 29 at 6 pm in the FHS Media Center.
Red Ribbon Month is officially starting!
Red Ribbon Month
Monday we will begin our celebration of Red Ribbon Month! This year's theme is “Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free.” Red Ribbon Month is a month where people, schools, and communities unite and take a visible stand against drugs. During HEART class students will focus on healthy habits and choices. Students will pledge to live a drug free life. Red Ribbon Awareness Bracelets will be worn by all staff and students throughout the month to show that we pledge to make good choices. Bracelets are expected to arrive shortly. Students in grades 4-6 are encouraged to participate in the poster contest outlined below.
- Red Ribbon Poster contest for Grades 4 - 6 to begin on Monday! Please share all posters due to HEART teachers by 10/11/24 (1 winner per grade)
- Theme -“Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free”
- Poster has a slogan for being drug free and includes examples/drawings of activities and interests of what students enjoy doing and make them happy.
- Poster should be neat, colorful, and produced by the student
Use a white 12 x 18 poster and create how we can help our school be drug free.
On the back of the finished poster it must say: Full name, grade, homeroom teacher & school.
Halloween Parade!
- Parade: A short "Halloween Parade" will take place beginning at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 31st. Weather permitting, we will parade out the main doors and around the building. Our Y5s & kindergarten students will lead the parade around each classroom and then out around the building. All are welcome to come and watch our costume parade outdoors!
- Classroom Activities: Classrooms/grade levels will be planning for Halloween activities and celebrations individually, either before or after the parade. If teachers request parent volunteers to help facilitate the classroom activities, all volunteers will have to submit a Background Check.
- Costumes: Students may come to school in costume on Thursday, October 31st. They can stay in costume for the duration of the day. Costumes need to be school appropriate and cannot depict violence or excess blood/gore. No fake weapons are allowed in school (i.e. toy guns, swords, blades, etc). Costume masks can be worn for the parade, but not throughout the day. For costumes that have short skirts/shorts, leggings or pants need to be worn underneath.
Strategic Plan Survey and Community Meeting
We are excited to embark on the creation of our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan—a roadmap that will shape the next five years of excellence in Fraser Public Schools. This plan will continue to focus on our strong traditions of excellence by staying committed to our core values and beliefs - Innovate, Learn, Lead.
To ensure this plan reflects the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders, we are launching a community survey to gather input. The survey will remain open through October 1st, and we encourage all families, staff, students, and community members to share their thoughts. This is your chance to help shape the future of Fraser Public Schools, and we want to hear from you!
In addition, we will be holding a Community & Parent Meeting to kick off the strategic planning process on October 1 at 6 pm in the Fraser High School Media Center.

Come Work With Us!
Does your child have medical needs?
If your child has specific medical needs, please reach out to the main office prior to the start of school. In order to administer medication, consent forms must be completed. Consent forms for prescription medications must include dosage and frequency information signed by a physician. Medication, including inhalers, must be stored in the main office and not in backpacks or pockets. In addition, if your child has a medical plan, it will need to be updated for the 24-25 school year.
Please find medication forms linked below for your convenience.
