Board Meeting Highlights

Superintendent Dr. Cota reported on upcoming professional development opportunities. Optional new teacher PD will be available from July 29 to August 2nd, new teacher onboarding will be August 5th and all staff PD is scheduled for August 6 to August 9.

• The Board of Education received a presentation from the Trustee regarding the district's progress on FCMAT standards.

• The Board of Education received a presentation from cabinet on District Goals. The district's goals for 24/25 are to:
• Improve Onboarding Process
• Cultivate Collaborative Culture
• Develop and Implement Comprehensive Year-Long Plans for District Initiatives
• Enhance Student Achievement Initiatives
  
• Establish Year-Long Professional Development Plan
• Strengthen Communication Strategies
• Expand Student and Parent Advisory and Leadership Opportunities

• The Board of Education received a presentation from the Director of Human Resources on the process of H1 Vista Teachers.

• The Board of Education discussed and approved the modification of voting members for Salinas Valley Adult Education Consortium Steering Committee (SVAEC) to include Alternative Principal Dr. Alexander Kirk.
• The Board of Education discussed and approved the designation of authorized agents to sign school orders for Greenfield HS ASB.
• The Board of Education discussed and approved the designation of authorized agents to sign school orders for King City HS ASB.
• The Board of Education discussed and approved the agreement with ProYouth for after school programs to be established at all schools through June 30, 2029.
• The Board of Education discussed and approved the agreement with Unarmed Security and Patrol Services for security services at all schools through June 30, 2027.

The Board of Education approved all consent agenda items.
