Mobile Dentist
Our school has partnered with Smile Programs, the mobile dentists, to offer convenient dental care right here at school. The mobile dentist provides a full range of services including exams, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride, sealants, and, when needed, fillings—all in the familiar school setting. Best of all, if your child is insured with Medicaid/CHIP, there’s usually no cost! They also offer options for private insurance and affordable self-pay. The Mobile Dentist will visit North Elementary on February 4 and 5. Sign your child up today by visiting https://mobiledentists.com/ or by returning the permission form sent home earlier this week.
Cold Weather Reminder
As cold weather settles into Ohio, please remember to send your child to school with a hat, gloves, and coat. We will continue to enjoy outdoor recess any day that is above 25 degrees, with wind chill.

Mrs. Thomas
For the 15 school days leading up to Christmas Break, we are counting down the days by unwrapping a present from under the tree! Each present is a different Christmas picture book that we read and review different literary elements discussed throughout the year.
On Monday, we unwrapped book #15, Sneezy the Snowman, and we worked on predicting. On Tuesday, we unwrapped book #14, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell, and talked about sequencing. And on Wednesday we unwrapped book #13, Don't Let Pigeon Drive the Sleigh, and worked on our writing skills. We wrote letters to Santa to convince him to let or not to let Pigeon drive the sleigh! We talked about opinions, how to support our opinions, and how to write letters.
We are excited to continue to unwrap the presents, review our skills, and countdown the days to Christmas break!
