Dear Ryley School Families,

As we reach the halfway point of the school year, I’m excited to share highlights from a busy

January!

We continue to focus on literacy and numeracy interventions to support student success. The

KIA program wrapped up this month and it was a great success. We hope to see it return in the

spring.

Our grades 6-9 students are raising funds for a ski trip to Rabbit Hill by selling popcorn and hot

chocolate. Thank you for supporting their efforts. Students also enjoyed participating in Winter

Walk Day with their PODS, embracing fresh air and exercise.

At our January assembly, we celebrated students who demonstrated this month’s essential

characteristic which was honesty. Their actions help make our school a safe and caring place to

learn.

We also appreciate your cooperation with safety measures, including keeping the front doors

locked, ensuring a secure environment for everyone.

International Students Xelie (from Belgium) & Sena (from Japan) visited Ryley School on Tuesday, Jan 21 to share a bit of their culture, language, and country.

On January 27, we had lovely weather for our Winter Walk to get the students outside even in the winter.

Weather was not always favourable for our skating days but we did make it out on the ice. Thank you to those that helped out in whatever way you did.

The girls and boys basketball teams will be wrapping up their season in February. Thanks for all the support for our young athletes!
