Congratulations on completing another outstanding year at GCA. Your hard work and dedication have gotten you one step closer to dreams you have not considered. Congratulations to our seniors and their families. It has been a great ride, and it has been a pleasure to share it with you. Senior videos from this year are available below. Good luck to those Spartan seniors who are about to experience success because of their perseverance and grit.

8th Grade going into 9th ready to start service hours.

If you are starting high school next year and are interested in starting your service hours for graduation. Here are some of the things you will need to do.

Install InnerView as an App (0:20) - Here is the link to how to install the app on your phone. You can also use your computer/Chromebook to enter activities. Go to innerview.org, sign up with your school email, and choose Gilbert Classical Academy
Joining Groups (1:21) - When you join a group, start with your school (Gilbert Classical Academy), then select ‘Class of 2028.’
Add Activities (3:01)—When adding activities, follow the directions on the video. For GCA, please add the contact information for the activity leader to verify hours. No leader, no credit.

Service learning hours must be earned through a non-profit organization. For example, you may tutor

a GCA student or volunteer with The Red Cross. However, you may not babysit or tutor your neighbor for free because it is not done through an organization. If you are unsure if the organization is non-profit, ask.

You may also volunteer through religious organizations such as churches or temples, but the service

must be secular and reach out to the community beyond the religious organization. Teaching religion or distributing religious materials will not count towards the requirement. Activities such as food drives or building houses do count. Please make sure to log only these activities.

Categories

Non-educational—Students must earn at least 50 (out of 80) hours in non-educational settings (e.g., animal shelters, food banks, hospitals, libraries, museums, food banks, zoos, etc.). Students can earn all 80 hours for graduation in this category.
Educational - If students only earn 50 non-educational hours, they need at least 30 hours (out of 80) of community service involving GCA, GPS district schools, or any other institute of education.
80 hours are required for graduation, and awards are given for more volunteering hours. If a student has at least 50 non-educational hours, the number of hours earned in each category is unlimited. Go help people.
