School Bus Safety Tips

- Please secure all items in a bag or backpack. This will help reduce the chance of dropping items while entering or exiting the bus.
- If an item is dropped while getting on or off the bus, please let the driver know; the driver will give instruction on the safest way to retrieve the item.
- Never run around, or near, school buses.
- Try to walk in groups when walking to the bus stop and use the sidewalk whenever possible.
- When crossing the street, always look left, right, then left again.
- While waiting at the assigned bus stop, please stay out of the street for safety.
- While riding the bus, please remain seated at all times and always follow the driver’s instructions and do not distract the driver.
- Please be courteous and respectful to the driver and other riders.
- Report any issues or emergencies to the driver immediately.
- When exiting the bus, use handrails for safety and always look to the right for any vehicles.
