Welcome Back To NHI
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the final days of summer. As the days grow shorter and the excitement of a new school year approaches, I am thrilled to welcome you back to the Nature Hill family!
We are eager to reconnect with our students and continue building a strong, supportive learning community where everyone feels valued and empowered. This year, we will focus on fostering a school environment that encourages students to connect with each other, their community, and themselves. By providing opportunities for students to explore their interests, strengths, and opportunities, we believe they will SOAR to new heights in their personal and academic growth.
To kick off the new school year, we invite you to our Open House on August 27th. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, explore classrooms, and learn more about our school programs. We can’t wait to see you there!
In preparation for the new school year, just a few reminders: The doors to the building open at 7:13. If you drop off your learner prior to 7:13, please pull all the way up and direct your learner to line up at the correct door. 5th and 6th grade students will line up at the 5th grade doors near the playground. Our 7th and 8th grade students should line up at the 7th grade doors where the bus drops off. If you are dropping off after 7:20 and the buses are gone, feel free to use the bus line to drop off your students.
Here is a fun video created by Ms. Ware and I, illustrating what it means to be curb ready in the drop off lane! Click here.
You’ll notice that we have a new face in the office this year! Rhonda Fink is my new assistant, replacing Carol Hunter. I think you’ll find Rhonda helpful, friendly, and kind! Rhonda previously worked at our East Campus location.
The first day of school is September 3rd. We are looking forward to another fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and fun.

We are thrilled to introduce new annual sports passes for families, individuals, and 4K-8th grade students! These passes provide unlimited access to all OHS home games, for all sports, for the 2024-2025 school year. With an annual pass, you can support our Raccoons while enjoying the convenience of not having to purchase individual tickets for each event. https://www.oasd.k12.wi.us/schools/athletics/tickets/ Please note that elementary and intermediate age children must be supervised by an adult, parent, or guardian at all OHS athletic events and must have an electronic ticket in order to enter events. Your support and supervision ensures a positive atmosphere and that everyone has a great time.
Work Permit Process
Parents of students 16 and younger seeking a work permit, will now log on to the Department of Workforce Developments page and use their permit application tool. Here is the link: Work Permit.
This new system will allow you to apply for a permit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer, tablet or smartphone. You will make your payment through the system as well. The department will mail a paper copy of the permit directly to your child's employer.
