Summer Library in Leander ISD

River Ridge Elementary and Vista Ridge High School libraries will be open for summer library service in Leander ISD. The libraries listed below will have books for Elementary, Middle and High School students to check out.

Countless studies show that students that don't read over summer suffer from significant loss in learning. We want all of our Leander ISD students to take a summer leap in their learning by reading books of their choice during their summer break.

We want to encourage our students and families to stop by and check-out books to read. All new incoming, registered Kindergartners may also check out books at any open Leander ISD Library. Elementary students should be accompanied by a parent or babysitter while at a summer library site.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our open library sites!

River Ridge Elementary Library will be open Monday & Wednesdays, 9:00-Noon on the dates listed below. A story time will be provided at 9:30 and Makerspace opportunities as well as games will be made available afterwards.

• June 18, 20, 25, 27
• July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
• August 1 (all books due on this day)

What is a Makerspace? It's a space where students have an opportunity to make, build, create, develop, design, imagine, experiment, discover and share ideas with a variety of objects, kits, and tools.

We will also have some board games and coloring pages available for visitors at the library. Come in out of the heat and have some fun at the library!

Elementary, Middle School and High School books will be available at Vista Ridge High School. Any registered LISD student may check out books to read over the summer. VRHS will be open daily, Monday-Friday 8:00-1:00

• All books due by July 27
