Girls Basketball TRYOUTS: October 25th, 26th, 27th.

8th grade tryouts will begin promptly at 7:00 am-8:30 am

7th grade tryouts will begin after school from 4:00-5:30 pm. Attending all three days of tryouts is highly recommended.

If your daughter is entering 7th or 8th grade for the 2023-24 school year and plans on trying out for Basketball, she will need the following:

• Athletic Physical - A blank physical/medical history form can be downloaded, or you can upload a completed form at: https://www.uiltexas.org/files/athletics/PrePhysFormRvsd2.21.pdf.

Online Forms - The link is https://katyisd.rankonesport.com/ .

IF your daughter is currently playing Volleyball or on the Cross-country team OR tried out for Volleyball then the above forms have already been completed.

Parents,

We will have 7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball try-outs on October 30th, October 31st, and November 1st . That is a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The 8th grade will try out at 6:45am to 8:30am and the 7th grade will try out at 4:10pm to 5:50pm each day. There are 36 spots in our program. Two to three times that number will try out.

In order to be cleared medically to try-out, you must have a completed physical with a doctor using our form as well as have completed the online forms in Rank One. Many of you took care of this last May like we asked you to. For those that have not completed this, see the attachments for directions on how to complete both. Please do not wait until October 30th to complete this as that will likely cause your son to miss the first day of try-outs.

Please make sure to go over with your student their address and bus number so that they know where to go. Below is some information on how to look up what bus your student should be on and the procedures for them this year regarding their ID's.

Replacing an ID due to being lost or damaged will cost $3.00. A new lanyard costs $2.00 and a protective sleeve for the ID will cost $1.00. Remember that students will not be able to attend any sporting events with out an ID.
