Klein ISD Student Accused of Orchestrating Cyber Attack
This unfortunate incident can also be used as a learning opportunity for our students here at Humble ISD. These charges are serious - amounting to a third-degree felony - and can have the potential to derail this young student's future. I see similar instances of this almost every week inside our District, but things are usually headed-off before it becomes a full-blown incident requiring the intervention of law enforcement. Please counsel your students and advise them to avoid risky behavior like this. It may seem fun & exciting at the time, but it's definitely not worth destroying their future over!

FBI Warns of Hidden Cameras Found on Residential Properties
People are increasingly finding hidden cameras placed around their homes - a new technique for criminals to use surveillance on a property to let them know the patterns of the residents and identify prime opportunities when the occupants are not going to be home.
Recently, "burglary tourists" have used this technique to gain entry into homes when the occupants are away. Burglary tourism involves foreign nationals entering the United States using tourist visas to commit residential and commercial burglaries. They will commit these crimes using different identities and then go back to their home countries with all the booty.
Make a habit of examining your yard for hidden cameras and battery packs in shrubs, trees, and even debris piles. One resident in Chino Hills, CA found a camera and battery pack disguised as a rock that was transmitting to a nearby cell phone tower. Trail cams w/ cellular connections can also easily be hidden in trees because of their camouflage colors.
