Our mission is to foster an environment to nurture individuals academically, socially, and emotionally so that they are prepared to tackle academic challenges and become productive members of a global society.

We aim to develop well-rounded and thoughtful students prepared to cope with a changing and globalized world.

Help us in celebrating our amazing Health Professions teachers the week of May 6 - 10! Our teachers work extremely hard to provide the best possible education for our students. We have the best teachers!

On April 5-7, 2024 our HP Chess team traveled to Baltimore, Maryland for the National HS Championship. They competed in 7 rounds of play over three days. These rounds challenged our students mentally and pushed them to compete at their highest level. In the end, our HP Nationals team placed 15th out of 50 teams in the Under 1600 section. They were also the top placing Texas team in their section, beating out 4 other valley schools. Individually we had Aaron Rostro win 5 of his 7 games which awarded him 30th place out of 300 players. We are extremely proud of each of our students and what they were able to accomplish at this major event!

NASA HUNCH is a program that is geared at introducing students to the future exploration missions that NASA is taking and the need to address the health care issues that astronauts currently encounter or will possibly encounter in a microgravity environment.

Students participated by designing and creating a biomedical solution to address the issues astronauts have with sleeping in space. Students participated in both a preliminary and critical design review in which their solutions and ideas were reviewed by NASA engineers and feedback was provided toward creating a final project. Having met the needs of the project students were recognized as a top team and invited to Johnson Space Center in Houston for a final review.

There will be no backpacks allowed beginning Wednesday, May 1, 2024 due to national and local testing.

Our 2023-2024 awards assemblies are upon us! There will be two awards assemblies, one for Seniors, and another for all underclassmen. Underclassmen receiving an award will be invited to attend and will receive an invitation during school hours to take home soon. Please see the invitation for Seniors below.

Students taking an AP course will be having their exams in May. Please see the schedule below to determine the day students are testing.

STISD Health Professions Counseling department supports students' development in academic, social and emotional skills and provides opportunities for success in allied health care careers and post-secondary readiness.

STISD Health Professions Counseling department will empower and engage students to reach their full potential with challenging curriculum and caring community that will foster the development of a respectful and well-rounded individual.

For our student's safety, IDs are mandatory. Students need to wear their ID on a lanyard and must be visible when at campus or on an STISD bus. If students need an ID, they may purchase one for 5.00 at the counseling center.

Parent and Student reminders:

• All students need to wear their ID at all times when on campus. Please ensure your child has an ID when they come to school. Students without an ID will receive detention.
• Student drop off is at liberty island in morning (red arrows)
• Student pick up is by the Health Professions front office (blue arrows)
• All students driving to campus will need a parking permit. All those without may have their vehicle towed.
• All parents should have received a parent pass to use if you need to pick up your child early from campus. If you did not receive this pass, please contact the front office.
