Catholics consider Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday as one continuous service in preparation for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday. We’re excited for our Spring Sports to get underway! Thank you to our parents who volunteer their time to provide our students with the opportunity to learn a new sport & further develop their skills in others!

Game Schedules and Player Rosters will be populated in the Sports Engine App as we receive them for all parents/guardians to access & use.

If you are unfamiliar with Sports Engine, it is a mobile app that allows for scheduling games & practices, has a chat feature for teams to stay connected, and offers notifications and RSVPs for team communication. ALL SMS SPORTS TEAMS will be using this app, and you will receive information on how to download and log in after Easter Break. We’re looking forward to some great seasons, and will continue to provide updates on our teams as the Spring moves along here in the Buzz and on social media.

The Music Man Jr. follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a children’s band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

Tickets are $10 per person. An additional online convenience fee of 5% will be added at checkout. Seating will be assigned and seat assignments will be given as we get closer to the event. This is a ticketless event, please check in at the door to receive your seat number. Tickets available through Weds., 4/23/25 at 9 am or until sold out.

Rice Bowls are Due After Easter Break on April 22nd

Remember to contribute your spare change to the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl that was sent home at the beginning of Lent. Small sacrifices can go a long way towards improving the lives of others in our community and our world this Lent! Bring your family’s rice bowl with the change in it back to school when your students return from Easter Break on April 22nd so the change can be counted & donated.

Spring Spirit Wear Orders Have Closed, Items on Track to Deliver by May 1

If you ordered items from our Spring Spirit Wear Sale, they are on track to deliver by May 1 in time for the warm weather uniform shirts to be worn to school with shorts - yayy! Hopefully the weather cooperates now! If you missed ordering don’t worry, the store will open again in August before school starts again this Fall.

Join us on Saturday, May 3rd from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the St. Mary School Gym! SMS girls - bring your Dad, Grandpa, Uncle or other Special Guy and get ready to have a WILD time! Enjoy the photobooth, specialty drink, crafts, dancing & more. The cost is $20 per family, payable by cash or check made out to “St. Mary School HSA”. A flyer will be coming home right after Easter break with more information on how you can order floral vouchers online in our Annual Flower Sale! Vouchers are redeemable at Weeks Nursery in Clarence Center for beautiful hanging baskets or flats of flowers. Fill out the online order form when it becomes available. School families will have their floral vouchers sent home with their youngest student on either May 9 or May 21, depending upon when you place your order. Parishioners & the Public will have their floral vouchers available for pick-up at the St. Mary School Office, M-F, 8 am - 2 pm, 2 business days after they place their order.

Once you receive your flower sale voucher(s), simply head over to Weeks Nursery at 5955 Shimerville Rd, in Clarence Center to redeem them & select your beautiful plants. Or, gift the voucher to someone else to redeem!

• ORDERS PLACED BY MAY 7 will have vouchers available on May 9, (just in time for Mother’s Day!)

On Saturday April 5, 2025, we are hosting a *Practice* High School Placement Test so that you can achieve high test scores and be well prepared when it's time to tackle the true test come November. This has been shown to benefit students and help them achieve higher scores in order to be accepted to the high school of their choosing. The exam will begin at 8 am and run until 11 am. Please arrive promptly at the school by 7:45 am. All you will need to bring is a couple of #2 pencils and a basic calculator.

St. Teresa's is holding a Kids Camp during Holy Week! This is a drop off event for children for grades 1-5. Pre K and Kindergartners are welcome to join with an accompanying adult!

• Holy Thursday we will host a mini Seder meal from 10am - 12 noon
• Good Friday will be focusing on the promises of Easter from 10am - 12 noon
• Holy Saturday with be focusing on the Easter Vigil from 10am -12:45pm including a pizza lunch.

VBS 2025 will run July 14th - 18th, and is open to rising Kindergarten - grade 5 students. VBS is open to everyone in our family of parishes, and will be at a NEW LOCATION this year - Our Lady of Peace Parish Center.
