Principal's Message
Dear Lord
We ask that you be with our community as we begin Term 4.
Thank you for the gift of being able to come together each day,
in the knowledge that you are walking with us.
Help us to be ready to see you in others and to hear your words of wisdom.
Help us to discover our creative and unique gifts,
and to put them to good use.
May the work we do and the way we do it,
bring new hope, new life, and courage to all we meet this semester.
Amen.
Welcome Back to Term 4
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break. As we embark on the final term of the school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful opportunities and experiences that lie ahead.
We are looking forward to a busy and vibrant time, with many events and activities planned. From academic challenges to graduations, from feast days and discos to Bunnings sausage sizzles , there is something for everyone to look forward to.
I encourage all students to set new goals, embrace challenges, and make the most of every learning opportunity. Parents, your continued support and involvement are invaluable, and we look forward to working together to ensure a successful and rewarding term for all.
Term 4 is always a memorable and productive time, filled with growth, achievement, and joy.
Welcome back, and let’s make it a great term!
School Photos
Students, spruce up your hairstyles, and ensure your uniforms are ready! School photos are set for Wednesday 23 October. For this day, we ask that all students come to school wearing their correct summer uniform (no sport uniforms please). Information about photo orders was sent home to our families at the end of last term. Please contact the office if you are unsure or require further information.
School Advisory Council and FOSJ Committee 2025
As we approach the end of the year, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our current committee members who will be leaving us as their children transition to high school. Their dedication and contributions have been invaluable.
With their departure, we are seeking new members to join our School Advisory Council and Friends of St Jude’s Committee (FOSJ) for 2025. These committees play a crucial role in representing the parent voice within our school community.
Next week, I will be sending home a form to every family detailing the responsibilities and commitments involved with each committee. I encourage you to review this information and consider joining one of these essential teams in 2025.
Your involvement can make a significant difference in our school community. Thank you for your consideration and continued support.
Parish Car Park
As we continue to work together to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our children, I would like to remind all parents of the expectations regarding conduct while on school grounds, including the car park. Your cooperation is vital in maintaining a respectful and safe space for everyone.
Key Expectations for Parents and Guardians:
- Respectful Communication: Please treat all staff, students, and other parents with courtesy and respect. Harassment, intimidation, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Car Park Safety: When using the car park, ensure you follow all signage and directions provided by staff. Please drive slowly and carefully at all times, especially during peak pick-up and drop-off periods. Parking in designated areas only is crucial for everyone’s safety.
- Punctuality and Patience: Ensure you arrive on time for drop-off and pick-up to avoid unnecessary congestion. Please remain patient, as safety is our top priority, and delays can happen.
- Supervision: When on school grounds, please supervise your children closely and ensure they are not running or playing unsafely, especially in car park areas.
- Positive Role Models: As adults, we set the tone for our children. Please model good behavior and respect for the school's values and community standards.
Let’s work together to keep our school a positive and safe environment for everyone. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
