Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Here is little snippet of what FAFSA is and why it's so important. If you have further questions, stop by the counseling office. We would love to help out!
Who should file a FAFSA? Anyone who plans to attend college should file a FAFSA.
What is the FAFSA form? The FAFSA form is an application filed by the student to help the student gain access to grants, scholarships, and student loans.
When should I file my FAFSA? As soon as possible after the form opens. The form will be available on December 1st this year and counselors will connect with Seniors via email when the form is open!
Where can I find the FAFSA form? On the Student Aid website.

Scholarships
Scholarships can be daunting sometimes, but Mrs. Hoffman makes that a tad easier by posting scholarship information to our High School Counseling Page! (Please remember that most scholarship applications are not posted/available until closer to second semester!)

If you have additional scholarship questions, feel free to ask someone in the counseling office.
Mrs. Hoffman and Mrs. Mann are great resources to help with scholarship questions. Your high school counselor is also more than willing to help with any questions/concerns you may have.
EFR at ADM
Some of the concerns that EFR can help with are: anxiety/worry, depression/suicidal thoughts, stress, conflict, bullying, relationship concerns, alcohol or drug concerns, and school performance.
You can learn more about EFR and their student assistance program here or dial 515-244-6090 for more information.
Connectedness Activity
On October 7th, students will be identifying one adult VIP here at ADM. Research shows that students who have a strong, personal connection with school staff feel safer and achieve at higher levels of success. It is also very important that students feel connected to their peers. Our goal is to ensure that every single student has at least one adult and one peer here at ADM that they feel connected to. Parents, please let your building administrator or counselor(s) know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this activity.
The prompts that we will be using for this activity are:
I have at least one friend here at school.
I have at least one adult at school that I know cares about me.
Who is the adult who cares about you here at school?
