EBC Family,

I encourage you to put into practice what we are talking about each Sunday morning by replacing your natural negative emotions with what is true about you in Christ. But be aware that learning to do this successfully and consistently takes practice. In your early days, you will fail more often than you will succeed. But if you will stick to it, you can begin to recognize your negative emotions sooner and sooner, so that you can compare them to what is true about you in Christ. I’ve been working at this practice for a decade and I still have negative emotions that slip past my defenses and wreak havoc in my life. As you are learning this skill, talking with another believer about it can be very helpful.

Our Canada Mission Team leaves tomorrow morning. Please be in prayer for Craig, Meredith, and our college students over the next week. The focus of their trip is evangelism. Pray that God would provide lots of opportunities to share the Gospel and that people would respond to the message and believe.

Finally, with the departure of Roger Howell, please pray for our Student and Children’s Ministries. I will be meeting with our leadership in both of these areas in the next few weeks. Pray that God would call His people to step up to serve and lead in these ministries this summer. And join me in praying that God would prepare and lead our future Search Committee to the right person for this position.

Paid Nursery Workers

May 31 will be the last night we will have a cooked Wednesday night meal.

Summer sandwiches will begin on June 7.

Making a Difference

The EBC Preschool Department needs an Assistant in the Sunday morning Babies Grow Group class.
