April 10, 2025
We are proud to share the exciting news that our Boys Volleyball team has won the 2025 SMAC Championship title with an undefeated season. With 10 consecutive wins, they concluded their impressive run with a dominant victory over C2E, sweeping two sets to none. This achievement is a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and hard work.
At PCK, we celebrate accomplishments such as these because they reflect the well-rounded nature of our students. Our emphasis on academics, athletics, and the arts as core pillars of education ensures that our students develop into critical thinkers, future leaders, and responsible citizens. This championship victory serves as a shining example of how our approach to education nurtures students who excel in all areas of life.
Congratulations to our athletes, coaches, and families who supported the team throughout the season.
Hello PCK Families,
I just wanted to let everyone know that April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. I know this is something near and dear to everyone because we have all had a close call with a driver who is either texting, on the phone, or talking to their passengers. Every driver on the road should strive to avoid distractions whenever possible for their safety as well as the safety of others as it takes less than a second of distraction to possibly have devastating consequences.
The state of Colorado takes this seriously and recently passed a law that requires drivers to utilize hands-free devices while driving. While we can’t always control the actions of others, please take time this month to focus on your own behaviors and please avoid using devices and decreasing the distractions while driving.
You all are so important to so many people and you tend to have extremely precious cargo in the car that deserves to make it to your destination safely.
As always, please reach out with any questions!
Stay healthy, happy, and safe!
Deputy Sandifer
We are excited to share that PCK has recently received a generous grant from the Shield Our Schools Foundation, which will be used to further enhance our school's security measures. This grant is a testament to our ongoing commitment to providing a safe learning environment for our students.
At PCK, student safety remains our top priority. This year, we have already made significant improvements, including the addition of a full-time School Resource Officer on-campus. These efforts are part of our continuous dedication to creating a secure and supportive environment where all of our students can thrive.
Below are the outstanding students who were recognized with our Character Awards for the month of February and March. These students exemplified honesty throughout the month and earned praise from both their peers and teachers. Nominations for these awards are made by our staff, who highlight specific moments when students demonstrated PCK’s character trait of the month.
As we move into April, we are encouraging all our students to showcase courage. We look forward to recognizing those students who display this important quality throughout the month. Our winners for courage character awards will be honored at the end of this month.
A new elective has been introduced this year for our middle school students—Grow with the Flow. This unique course focuses on the fundamentals of plant life and the hands-on experience of growing plants.
As part of this elective, students have had the opportunity to explore hydroponics, where they successfully grew Bok Choy. Not only did they learn the process of cultivating plants in this innovative system, but they also had the chance to cook and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
Additionally, students gained practical knowledge by working with chickens. They discovered how chickens can contribute to controlling bug populations and assist in nitrogen replenishment for plant growth.
We are proud to offer electives like Grow with the Flow that provide students with experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting, fostering both their curiosity and practical skills.
We are just about a month away from our Library Spirit Week at Books Are Awesome, which will take place from May 12 through May 18. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our school library while celebrating the love of reading.
During this week, families who purchase books at Books Are Awesome and mention PCK’s Spirit Week will have 10% of their purchase donated back to our library. It's a great way to stock up on new books while helping our library grow.
The deadline to purchase a yearbook is fast approaching, with all orders due by Friday, April 25. To purchase your yearbook, please use PCK’s unique school code: 1015343699083637. All orders must be placed through Treering.com.

At our most recent SAC meeting, we reviewed the upcoming 2024-25 end-of-year survey. This important tool is designed to gather valuable feedback from our community on all aspects of PCK.
The survey will be released in the coming weeks, and we strongly encourage every family to participate and answer as many questions as possible. Your responses help guide meaningful improvements across our school community.
Survey results will be reviewed and discussed during our next SAC meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, May 14. As always, if you have any questions about the SAC or would like to bring forward any topics for discussion, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at SAC@ckcs.net.
This week, we wanted to shine our Volunteer Spotlight on the Boy Scouts from Pack 369 and Troop 16, who are an integral part of our PCK community. These Scouts regularly contribute to the greater Parker area through a variety of volunteer efforts, including food collection for the Parker Task Force, trash clean-up in local parks and around schools, and maintaining a trail here in Parker.
In addition to their community service, these Scouts are active participants in PCK events such as our annual Veterans Day celebration and Fall Festival. We are proud of the way they represent PCK, not only through their involvement at school but also by taking initiative and giving back to our community.
This spotlight serves as a reminder of the importance of volunteering, both within PCK and in the greater community. We are grateful for the Boy Scouts’ ongoing commitment to making a positive impact.
