PAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL

Page Middle Families,

We had an excellent first week of school. Thanks for getting your students to school on time. We know traffic is challenging. Our crossing guard Mr. Terrell is recovering from a recent procedure and we aren't sure when he will return. Please keep him in your thoughts. We have asked the Sheriff's Department to provide a replacement but they are struggling to staff crossing guard positions.

Tomorrow is not a late start, however Tuesday is. This was a change to help accommodate the first full day of kindergarten. This day usual causes the bus garage issues as young students learn to navigate riding a bus for the first time.

Wednesday night is our annual Open House. Please see the details later in this newsletter. This is a time to meet your child's teachers and hear the expectations for their class this school year.

We have a packed school year of learning ahead. Please discuss with your child the importance of being a good student and coming to class each day to learn. Getting off to a good start and practicing good work habits will help them all year long.

Open House will be Wednesday, August 14th, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:00 and parents can wait in the gym or cafeteria until they will report to their child’s HR class at 6:30. They will rotate to each class much like their child attends school. We will end at 8:00. We ask for parents only to attend; this is not a night for children.

STUDENTS MUST BRING CHARGED CHROMEBOOKS TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY. IF THEY NEED TO CHECK ONE OUT FROM THE LIBRARY, THEY WILL RECEIVE A STRIKE. THREE STRIKES

EQUALS BEFORE SCHOOL DETENTION ON THE NEXT LATE START DAY.

NO BUS PASSES AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Per direction from the WCS Transportation Department, we CANNOT write bus passes for students to ride a bus other than their own. Thank you for your understanding.
