West Ridge Elementary Newsletter
October 7th, 2024
School Hours Monday-Thursday 8:55-3:40
Dear Families,
Hello West Ridge Families!!!
I cannot believe we are half way through October!!! As the weather begins to change, please make sure students are dressed for the weather. This is the time of year our lost and found fills up quickly. Please label your students coats, lunch boxes, backpacks, water bottles, sweatshirts, gloves and hats. When items are labeled, we are able to get them returned to their owner.
Reminders:
- Once a month we will have a fire drill. This gives students and staff a chance to practice evacuating the building in case of an emergency.
- Four times a year we will have a practice lockdown. Again, this gives us a chance to practice in case of an emergency.
- Students are informed when we will be having a drill.
Cross Country:
Thank you to Mr. Bright and Mrs. Becker for heading up our cross country team this year. Thank you to all of our staff members and parents that volunteered to help with cross country this year!!
Congratulations to all of our cross country runners and the amazing job they did this season!! It is so fun to watch them participate in this event.
THANK YOU!!!
The Golden Ticket prizes and other earned prizes have been shipped and should arrive at West Ridge in the next week. We will send them home with students as soon as the prizes arrive.
Again...THANK YOU!!!

Community Clothes Closet at New Visions High School
Hello Post Falls Community,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the re-opening of our Community Clothes Closet here at New Vision High School on Tuesday, September 10th. This is open for any in the community who need clothing. This is only possible due to the very generous donations and gifts from the businesses and community of Post Falls.
The Community Clothes Closet seeks to provide free clothing to all people in need. We provide casual and career clothes and footwear to children, women and men from all across our community and we do it all for free. We also have hygiene items.
We are located in a portable behind New Vision High School. You can enter through the small gate on Catherine Street on the east side of the building.
We are open Tuesdays from 2:45pm to 3:45pm. If these times do not work you may email me at Richard.raynor@sd273.com and we can set a day/time to meet.
We currently do not need any donations.
Thank you,
Rich Raynor
