Dear Patterson Families,

We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we approach the end of the year, we would like to update you on some important announcements and celebrations from the past week.

Announcements:

1. Winter Wonderland: We had an absolutely amazing time at Winter Wonderland! A big thank you goes to Krystal Peers for coordinating the event and to the incredible PTA Team that made it run so smoothly. The event was truly magical, and we appreciate everyone's efforts in making it a memorable experience.

2. Upcoming Spirit Days:

   • Frozen Day on Monday: Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Frozen character.
   • Stuffed Animal Friend Wednesday: Students may bring their favorite stuffed animal companion to school.
   • Festive Holiday Shirt Friday: Students can wear their most colorful and cheerful holiday-themed shirts.

3. Patterson Tie Dye Shirt Day: A reminder for everyone to wear their Patterson Tie Dye shirt on January 8th, the first day back after the holidays. Let's kick off the New Year with a burst of color and positivity!

Celebrations:

We are thrilled to see the excitement building as we count down the days until winter break. Only 5 more days to go! Thank you for your patience and support during this busy time of year.

Additional Information:

Traffic concerns- Please, please remember not to block any neighborhood driveways or allow your children to step onto lawns or gardens. Our neighbors are extremely important to us and I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it is to be located in such close proximity to a bustling elementary school. Our neighbors look out for the school & we all should also look out for them :)

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who helped us recover the maker space. Thanks to your support, it is now back up and running. The maker space has been a fantastic resource for our tie-dye activities, and we appreciate your continued partnership in making our school a vibrant and creative learning environment.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Melissa Sides, Leni Bulcao, Yuna Kim, Noreen Gibson, Crystie Lopez, Ashley Smith, Sylvia Quintanilla, Ashley Ortega, Sonal Mistry & Juliet Lewis, and all the other Panther Parents who generously volunteered their time to help 600 students tie dye shirts. We had an overwhelming turnout of more than 50 parents who made this activity possible. Your dedication and support are truly commendable. Thank you all so much!

If you arrive after the second bell rings at 8:30 you must go to the office for a tardy slip (front & back loop). You may not go straight to your class. Parents be sure to remind your students to pick up a tardy slip. Thank you :)

Come and work at Patterson School from 11-1 as a noon supervisor at Patterson! Email me Kristin Dil at kdil@fusdk12.net. We work together to assist the children at lunch and then we supervise them out at Recess. We have lunch service for all the students between 11 & 1.

Fremont Unified School District State Preschool applications are now available for 2023-24. It is a half-day program at several FUSD locations, and free for income-eligible families. • Patterson Y-Kids Child Care is accepting registrations for the 2023-2024 school year. We have Before and After School Child Care for TK through 5th grade. We offer enrichment learning which includes homework assistance, language arts, STEM, arts & crafts, and much more! We encourage healthy eating by providing a variety of nutritional daily snacks.
