We are excited to be partnering with the Fishers High School Dance Marathon Team to have our own Mini Riley Dance Marathon! Join us for dancing, games, food, fun, and HELPING OTHERS!
When & Where?
Wednesday, February 26th immediately after school in the LRE gym from 2:05 – 4:15. Parents will need to pick up their child by 4:15 in the car rider line.
Cost?
Each student participating in the Riley Dance Marathon is recommended to make a minimum donation of $5 and submit a parent permission slip.

Counselor Corner! 🌸
Kindergarten
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child will show that they can use body language and context clues to figure out how someone is feeling. They’ll also show they can use slow breathing as a way to help themselves feel calm when they encounter strong feelings.
Try This at Home:
Ask your child to tell you how they think others around them might be feeling, for example, a sibling or a character in a story, a movie, or a TV show.
First Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child will show that they can use body language and context clues to figure out how someone is feeling. They’ll also show that they know ways to help themselves feel calm when they encounter strong feelings.
Try This at Home:
Ask your child to tell you some ways they’ve learned to feel calm when they get upset. Have them teach you how to use slow counting to feel calm.
Second Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child will learn how to use positive self-talk to help themselves feel better when they’re upset, disappointed, or worried.
Try This at Home:
Ask your child what they want to tell themselves when they’re having a tough day.
Third Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child will learn how, when, and where to take a break in different situations as a way to manage a strong emotion.
Try This at Home:
Discuss where and how your child can take a break at home. Then you ask your child how they could take a break in a place, for example, in the car or at the grocery store.
Fourth Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child’s class will reflect on their journey of working toward their 2-week goal.
Try This at Home:
Ask your child about their experience with setting a class goal and working toward it. What worked? What didn’t work? What could they do next time? Reflect on a goal you’ve worked toward and what you learned.

Breakfast and lunch prices for 2024-2025 are as follows:
- Paid Student Lunch (K-6) $ 2.80
- Paid Student Lunch (7-12) $ 3.00
- Paid Student Breakfast (K-12) $1.50
If you believe your family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, be sure to fill out the application in Skyward for your student. Families must re-apply for these benefits each year, even if you qualified previously.
Please make sure you have filled out your students' health card alerting of any allergies. If you need to make changes to this please contact Nurse Okuszki at ookuszki@hse.k12.in.us.
If your child would like to purchase additional menu items, you may send cash or check with your child throughout the school year in an envelope with their name and account number, student's teacher, the amount enclosed, and date, OR you can add payments electronically through e-funds. More information on e-fund payment and account set up can be found on the food services website www.schoolnutritionandfitness.com.

Since 2001, the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation (HSEF) has raised funds to support all students and staff across HSE Schools. On February 21, legendary comedy icon Jeff Foxworthy will perform live at the Fishers Event Center for HSEF’s first annual Legacy Celebration. Proceeds from ticket sales support HSEF and its mission to enhance educational opportunities, inspire excellence and engage the community to foster a legacy of achievement.
