WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Our student council and the Lions club could use your help. As a school we have a goal of 1,000 non perishable items. We will take any donation. It does not need to follow the themed days below. To help make this goal, the drive has been extended by a week! The grade with the most goods brought in will receive a movie day and treat before Thanksgiving break. Thank you for all the donations that we have received. We truly appreciate your generosity!
REGISTRATION AND UPCOMING PARENT MEETING
Attendance
Consistent attendance is imperative to your child's success. Regular attendance helps us ensure that students are engaged and receiving the education they need to be successful. When you keep us informed about your child's absences, we can provide the necessary support and resources to help them stay on track. Your cooperation in promptly reporting attendance not only helps us maintain accurate records but also contributes to your child's academic growth and well-being.
Our school hours are:
Full Day: 7:23-2:25
Half Day: 7:23-10:53
Tardy: Students should be in their classrooms by 7:23. 5 first hour tardies will result in a lunch detention for your student.
To report an absence you can call the attendance line at 810-591-4210 and leave a detailed message regarding your child's absence. When calling please be sure to include your child's name, the date or dates of the absence and the reason for the absence.
You can also report an absence in ParentVue. There is a blue button next to your child's name on ParentVue and you can report the absence there if you prefer.

School Meals
School breakfast and lunch are being offered for free to all students in grades DK-12th grade this year through the Michigan School Meals Program.
We encourage all families to fill out the School Meals and Summer EBT Application being mailed to all students next week. Please take a moment to complete the form and return it to the Middle School office. The application for summer EBT and Education Benefits with the Michigan School Meals Program collects information needed to ensure the school receives state and federal funding for education programs. Without this information, Goodrich Area Schools could lose important state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. These supplemental grants and programs have the potential to offer support and services for our students.
Please visit the Goodrich Food Service Webpage for more information. Students wanting to purchase extra items or snacks in addition to the free breakfast and lunch can add money to their lunch account through My School Bucks. This site is available under the "Parents" tab on the Goodrich website. You may also send in a check with your child to give to the cafeteria.
There will be hard copies of the Education and Nutrition Benefits form available at the Foodservice Table at Open House and in each office building. Please direct any questions to Megan Burny at 810-591-2236 or you can email her at mburny@goodrichschools.org
Transportation
Please notify the bus garage at 810-591-3454 if your student needs to change their bus route. Students must ride the bus every day. Students are not allowed to ride a different bus to or from school without prior approval from the transportation department.
