Challenger Middle School Mission
To provide an exemplary education that develops critical thinking and problem solving skills which inspire our students to challenge their minds and charge their spirits.
Principal's Corner
Dear Charger Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with quality time with family and friends. As we approach the halfway point of the 2024/2025 school year, itβs incredible to see how quickly time is flying by. With Quarter 2 concluding on January 10th, our students remain focused on achieving their academic goals while eagerly anticipating a well-deserved winter break and the exciting holiday activities we have planned.
Our next round of FAST Progress Monitoring will take place on Tuesday, December 10th, and Thursday, December 12th. Please encourage your students to be present on those days and to give their absolute best effort on their assessments. Iβm excited to see how much growth they have made since September!
The holiday season brings a unique sense of joy and excitement, and thereβs no better place to experience it than here at Challenger Middle School. Weβre thrilled to offer a variety of events to make this time of year memorable, including our festive Holiday Spirit Week, Hot Chocolate and Cookies during lunch, and a movie night for our Charger students on Wednesday, December 18th. Please note that movie night is limited to the first 200 students who return their permission slips. The cost is $5 per student. For more information about the event, please contact Ms. Soto at LizaAS@LeeSchools.net. Your continued support helps create these wonderful moments for our students.
On behalf of the entire Challenger Middle School staff, I wish you all a joyful holiday season, a relaxing winter break, and cherished moments with your loved ones. May this season bring happiness, laughter, and lasting memories for you and your family.
Respectfully,
Chris Drake

Student & Teacher Appreciation
Dear Parents and Community Members,
We are excited to invite you to support two important initiatives that positively impact our school community! Our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program rewards students for their dedication to respect, responsibility, and excellence, while our teacher appreciation efforts aim to recognize and celebrate the hard work of our amazing educators. To make contributing easy, weβve created an Amazon wish list with suggested items you can purchase for student rewards and teacher appreciation gifts. Your generosity will help us foster a positive environment and show our students and teachers how much they are valued. Thank you for your support!

Class Pet of the Month!
Nyota the Guinea Pig
Nyota is a guinea pig that resides in Mr. Buczynski's reading classroom. She is two years old and Mr. Buczynski has had her since she was only a month old! She can be described as mischievous - she loves to squeak loud when she wants food or attention. Speaking of food, her favorite things to eat are romaine, carrots, grapes, and hay. Overall, she's a pretty chill pet, she spends most of her time sleeping and wanting pets.
