Update/ School News
- Thank you all for an amazing first week! Students were engaged, cell phones were put away, behaviors were all positive!! It really felt great to have everyone back.
- At CRHS, we are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month throughout September! This special month is dedicated to honoring the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in these activities, which aim to foster understanding, appreciation, and pride in Hispanic heritage. Join us in making this month a vibrant and educational experience for all! Please look out for additional information.
- Parking permits are in limited supply, so make sure to get all necessary information to Mr. Oberdorf. The CRHS administration will be meeting with student drivers next week to discuss important information regarding parking permits for the upcoming school year. These meetings will cover the application process, parking regulations, and expectations for all student drivers. All drivers must attend to ensure they are informed and prepared. We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to maintain a safe and organized parking environment at CRHS.
- In an effort to limit the amount of tardies to class, CRHS admin will conduct "hall sweeps" where anyone who is late to class will be gathered and warned about being tardy. These will start this week. This week will also start 5 tardies = 5 lunch detentions. Make sure you get to class on time!
- Students who participate in after school activities need to be at school by 8:15 or they cannot participate that day (unless approved by admin).
- Families: Students may not take any type of medicine at CRHS for any reason without filling out the correct paperwork. ANY prescription or over the counter medicine must be given to the nurses office with completed paperwork. If a student is in possession of any type of medicine, it will be confiscated by admin per MSDE and Health Department laws.
- The class of 2027 Class officer applications are available from Mr. Newberry. Get the forms in by Sept. 6th so elections happen, if needed, the week of Sept. 9th-13th.

Attendance Information
Attendance Update:
Daily School Attendance is an Expectation
Every CCPS student is expected to attend school daily unless he or she is ill or has another exceptional circumstance.
Students miss valuable instruction anytime he or she is absent. Every day is important!
Documentation of absences are required within ten (10) days of the student's return to school. Documentation can come in the form of doctors’ notes, court documentation or parent notes. This practice will be strictly adhered to.
Examples of Lawful Absences
student illness
death in the family
court summons
Submitting Excuse Notes
Lawful Excuse Notes may be brought to the main office, faxed to 410-754-3497 or emailed to Mrs. Emily Phillips at attendance.crhs@ccpsstaff.
Any student who has missed 10% of the total school days is considered "chronically absent." They will appear on our attendance intervention list and families will be contacted.
