We are DPS proud of the first and second Clinical Cohort of #AIR22 are Certified Nursing Assistants! Congratulations to these Jerry Dawson Civic Leadership Institute students!

Some of our students particpated in The Learn & Earn a Bike program, an initative from the City of Decatur and the Jasper Street Bike Committee. Students took what they learned about bike safety and did a community ride alongside Decatur Police, DPS admin, and other community bicyclists. The group rode bikes along Jasper Street from Hope Academy to Johns Hill Park and back.

Following the ride, a graduation ceremony was held and particpants received a certificate of completion, their earned bicycle and helmet provided by the Decatur Bicycle Shoppe, along with a bike lock. We love our community because they love our students!
