Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
May 3, 2024
We had another awesome week at The Lab! This week's highlight was Spring Family Night! We had great student and community performances, instrument and music genre exploration, students even created harmonicas, taught parents how to play boomwhackers, and had animal encounters from Oregon Ridge Nature Center.
On Thursday, our Math 24 Challenge tournament team competed in the County competition hosted at Rodgers Forge. All 4 members did well, and Ethan Saleh took home the silver medal for the second consecutive year. Congratulations to all our Math 24 Club members for sharpening their problem-solving skills this year and our gratitude to Mrs. Zagurski and Ms. Kellner for sponsoring the club.
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week! The PTA has some structured ways in which you can show appreciation to our dedicated staff who go above and beyond for the children of this community. Please consider how you can show your child's teacher(s) your appreciation next week!!
On Thursday of next week, May 9th, we will host representatives from BCPS and MSDE to visit our school, honor our students and staff for the Green Ribbon School award, and see some of our sustainability practices and environmental education efforts in practice. Please have your child wear their new tie-dyed Lutherville Lab spirit shirt on Thursday!
In partnership,
-Mr. McComb
