We had so much fun meeting our new and returning kindergarten parents at our open house on Wednesday night. We also met with our fabulous PTA presidents this morning to start planning fun events for the 2019-2020 school year. It's hard to believe we are already starting to plan for next year!

As Dr. Bein indicated in her email to all families this week, the district will be monitoring the weather next week very closely and will communicate with you about any school closings as soon as possible. Please stay safe and warm this weekend!

Author Allan Woodrow Visit

We have a new date on the calendar to host author, Allan Woodrow. He will give a presentation to students in grades 3, 4, and 5 on Friday, February 8 in the afternoon.

If any students or families would like to order personalized autographed books by Mr. Woodrow, please print and return an order form to the library media center by the day of his visit. Follow this link to the LMC website to find the order form to print. Paper copies of order forms will also be available in the library for students to bring home.

STEAM Night is This Thursday!

Where can your family experience a duck-in kaleidoscope, drive Sphero robotic balls, build catapults, enjoy our fourth-grade concert, challenge each other to math games, and explore dozens of hands-on STEAM activities designed for families? Join us at our first ever Olive-Mary Stitt STEAM Night, Thursday, January 31st, 6:30-8:00pm.

2019-2020 D25 School Calendar

Click HERE to view next year's calendar. As noted on the calendar, there will be a few 1/2 days for students. The district is still finalizing the 1/2 day time frame for 1st - 5th grade students. The schedule for kindergarten students across the district on 1/2 days will be as follows:

August 21, 2019 (First day of school) - AM kindergarten and PM kindergarten will each attend for one hour: AM kindergarten– 9:05 am – 10:05 pm and PM kindergarten– 10:45 am – 11:45 am
February 13, 2020 - Only Kindergarten AM attends school on this day
June 5, 2020 (Last day of school if no emergency days are used) - Neither kindergarten class attends school on this day

Get Burbed Challenge!

Join us on April 13, 2019, for the ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge! You may have noticed a few changes this year, but it is still the same great event to help raise money for our schools…now only BETTER! What’s new in 2019:

The event name has changed to ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge (formerly Just Move It Challenge)! Get Burbed has been a loyal supporter of ABC/25 is now the naming sponsor for this event!
The event logo has a fresh new look! ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge Logo
No more packet pick-up! If you register by 3/22/19, your race packet can be delivered to your SD25 school. But you must register early!!
Chip timing will be introduced at this year’s race! Race results will now be immediate and more accurate!
ABC/25 will be hosting a silent auction at the Health & Fitness Expo. You will have the opportunity to bid on some fun prizes and support our schools.
There will be an awards ceremony after the race at the Health & Fitness Expo!
