U Belong Day- May 17th- (Sign up for Lunch)
“U Belong” Day, previously known as “Sharpen the Saw” Day, will be held on Friday, May 17 during the school day. Students will be attending sessions throughout the day creating a mural for our school, working on team building skills with Urbandale High School students, attending a Breakout EDU or STEM session, and learning from several ambassadors from CultureALL.
CultureAll provides Ambassadors from around the world and will involve students in learning about their customs and countries, sharing their native songs and dances, their visual arts, and their stories. Every student will have a unique opportunity to experience a variety of world cultures. Each grade level will get to interact with three different Culture Ambassadors from CultureAll, the premier provider of cultural programming in Central Iowa. Every workshop is an engaging interactive learning experience that will help build understanding and appreciation of other cultures. For more information on CultureAll and their Ambassadors – check out their website.
Students will also have lunch picnic style, so please be sure to sign up on the link below to indicate if your child will bring a cold lunch from home or need a sack lunch from school. We’re excited for a fun day for our Webster students!
Webster Garden Help
We are looking for volunteers to help us keep our gardens growing over summer break! These garden beds will contain produce that will be harvested in the fall and served in our lunchroom. Please sign up for a week when you are available.
Also, we are looking for donations of kid-sized gardening gloves.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Moving...
As we are formulating class lists for next year, it is important to know if your child(ren) will not be returning to Webster. If you will be leaving the Urbandale School District at the end of the school year, please let the office know by either calling or emailing. Otherwise, we will plan on them attending next year. You can reach us at 515-331-8600 or email Brenda Briggs at briggsb@urbandaleschools.com or Erin Campney at campneye@urbandaleschools.com

3 Volunteers needed for U Belong Day- May 17th
We are in need of 3 more volunteers that would be available/willing to help us out on our U Belong/CultureAll Day on Friday, May 17th, from 9:00 to 3:30. You would be teaming up with another volunteer to lead a project that all of the students will be working on as individual classes, but will come together as a single project in the end. Two volunteers would be working together with one classroom group at a time (and the classroom teacher would be there to help supervise). This is not a difficult project and no special abilities are required. We hope you will consider helping us make this a special day for our Webster K - 5 graders!
Volunteer Here
Thank you-

2024-25 Bus Transportation Request Form
To be on a bus route the first day of school, UCSD needs to receive your Bus Transportation Request no later than July 1st for Karen Acres and August 1st for all other schools. After that date, UCSD can still add your student for bus transportation, but the bus stop locations will be set; thus, students may have to walk farther to their bus stop and possibly wait several days before they can begin riding the bus.
The Bus Transportation Request form can be found in the PowerSchool parent portal. For information on how to complete a Bus Transportation Request, please review instructions on this page. All bus transportation information can be found here. If you have questions regarding bus fees, or adding your student to a bus route, please call the District Registrar at (515) 457-5011.
