This week at the pool...

The next Pizza Night at the pool is this Sunday, July 3rd during Raft Night, 5-7 p.m. The pizza will be Ben Yehuda's for $3.00 per slice, two slices for $5.00, and a whole pie for $18.00 while it lasts. Soft drinks also will be on sale.

Many, many thanks to everyone who has begun signing up to help out on the deck, slicing and serving pizza at our Pizza Nights at the Pool! The Socials Committee can still use some more helping hands. Please sign up here through Signup Genius if you can volunteer an hour or two on a Sunday evening. Many thanks to Sherri Spritzer for organizing this near-weekly activity!

Despite predictions of heavy rain and thunderstorms, Sherri Spritzer, our Socials Committee chairperson, reports the first Ladies Night was a great success. Twenty women enjoyed an evening of socializing, eating a light meal of salads, savories, and desserts, and drinking mojitos prepared by their very own bartender, former pool president April Rivers. A toast to April--thanks for hosting this fun evening!

We'll be closing early at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, so that the 'Roos can take on the Twinbrook Ducks at our pool. The last Wednesday meet at home is July 6th against the Forest Knolls Seahawks. The pool also will be opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9th, when Flower Hill will be visiting for a meet.

Monday, July 4th – Annual Fourth of July Family Fun Day – 1:00-5:00 p.m. Pool closes at 6:00 p.m. for the holiday. $2.00 ice cream treats (both kosher and non-kosher) while they last.

Tuesday, July 12th – KMSC board meeting, 7 p.m., poolside.

Thursday, July 14th – another Ladies Night - 7:00-10:00 p.m. The pool closes to non-party goers at 8:45 p.m. Cost: $5.00 for members; $7.00 for non-members. Bring and salad, appetizer, or dessert to share. Soft drinks will be provided. Bring your own wine or beer. No free coupons accepted. Need at least 15 people to have this event. Wanted: 1 or 2 ladies to plan and host this event. Contact Sherri Spritzer at sherri.spritzer@verizon.net. NOTE: We need to have at least 15 people to hold this event.

Sunday, July 31st – Teen Night (7th- through 12th-grade) – 7:00-10:00 p.m . Bring a friend! The pool closes to non-partygoers at 8:45 p.m. Price: $5.00 for members; $7.00 for non-members. Open to incoming 6th-8th graders. Wanted: 1 or 2 middle-schoolers and at least 1 or 2 middle school parents to help plan this event. Contact Sherri Spritzer at Sherri.spritzer@verizon.net. NOTE: We need to have at least 15 people to hold this event.

Now that school's out, the pool has switched to its summer hours of operation:

• Monday-Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  
• Friday, 12 noon to 9:00 p.m.
  
• Saturday-Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

It will go back to school hours for August 27th through Labor Day:

• Monday-Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  
• Saturday/Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
